When his family receives a letter in the mail stating that Dennis changed his major, he is given two choices. Drop out and accept his godforsaken fate in Nebraska, or leave indefinitely. Choosing the latter, Dennis finds himself homeless while studying medicine. He doesn't let this deter him, and later makes it to his residency at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
