The president pushed forward another picture, focused on Dabi's arm this time, torn jacket revealing the top of a feather peeking through in the crook of his elbow. Bright red that clashed in ugly ways with the purple scars, and a single silver staple stabbed right through the feather's middle axis.
Hawks' heart sank.
"And this is why we believe he's more likely to be receptive to you coming to them. Alone. I'm sorry I have to ask you to sacrifice this for the greater good as well, Hawks. But you understand what's at stake."
He did, and that was the only thing giving him the strength to keep his arm down despite wanting to grab his elbow in order to.... what? Deny reality a little bit longer? Protect the mark and himself against the truth?
Hah.
Not all soul marks meant something positive. Only the vast majority of them, and he had been foolish to ever expect otherwise.
Now, he just needed to trick his soulmate into believing their mark was a bond of love, instead of their downfall.
Some days, it's harder to pretend this is just another mission. Hawks was always good at pretending, though, and good at his job.

Summary
Just the idea of having his soulmark disfigured or destroyed... it sent chills down Hawks’ spine. His own soulmate might be dead, but he couldn’t imagine not having Touya’s name marking his skin. The mere thought had him resisting the urge to pull his sleeve up and check to see it was still there.
Did Dabi do this to himself, he wondered? Did he burn his own soulmark away? The thought was incomprehensible. Dabi was a dangerous villain who was capable of many things, kidnapping, conspiracy, and murder just to name a few. But could someone, even someone like him, do something so vile to themselves? Even villains had to care about their soulmates, right?

After Shoto gets his scar, Endeavor wants Rei to go away. He sees an opportunity to focus on Shoto and to keep the scandal from getting out.
Endeavor keeps Touya and Shoto while Rei moves out with Natsuo and Fuyumi.

Summary
After Stain is capture by Endeavor, Dabi visits his own grave. Like he always does when he is upset. Stain ideology shakes him to the core. He decides to let his frustration out. He starts to yell at his own grave when suddenly his father appears.
When Endeavor hears Stain cry out something about ‚fake hero‘ he feels nothing. When Enji Todoroki hears the words ‚fake Hero‘ he is affected. Enji remembers when his family described him as a ‚fake hero‘ after his oldest Touya died.
When he visits Touya's grave the same day, he meets a black figure, who plans his death. Instead of arresting the stranger immediately, he thinks of a plan to minimize the damage. Later he was glad he waited because now he has his oldest in a hospital and a chance to save him, instead of fighting him as Endeavor.
Enji long way of self-reflection. If he wants to be the hero the public wants and fulfill his dream or save his oldest. Furthermore, the idea his oldest wants him death shocks him to the core.
Touya has no idea a short trip to his grave has so much impact on his life and his family.Bookmarked by Mabeii

Summary
Shoto's feelings about his hero training have been conflicted since his brother came clean about who he is on public television. Touya's survival was considered impossible, although he was a villain driven by hatred for his father. To be honest, the ice user still harbored a little resentment toward his father as well, particularly after his father lied to him about the death of his older brother. But that doesn't stop Shoto who rushes to his brother's rescue when Hawks and the League of Villians call to inform him that the ranked A villain has vanished.

In turn, Dabi attempts to fight, seduce, and manipulate his way out of going to jail once his recovery is complete.
