….“Do you want to feel worse?”
”No.” she responded immediately. “But tell me.”
”I only went into ice dancing, because I was hoping I could get you as a partner.” Frank confessed, feeling a little awkward.
Mel’s eyes widened and her mouth almost hung open from shock…..

Summary
How could one shift undo everything she had been working towards the last twelve years of her life? How could she come this far just to fuck up? Be another failure? Because that's what she was. She was a failure. She didn’t belong here, maybe no one wanted her here either. She could never face her mom now. The thoughts were all spiraling, like a rapid spinning cyclone she couldn’t seem to get out of. She allowed herself to be pulled along the harsh winds of her deepest-darkest thoughts. She was drowning, her head slightly hitting something. She felt dizzy.
The ghost wasn’t sure how long she had been up there. It could’ve been seconds, minutes, hours, years- when she suddenly heard her name again. But she couldn’t return to her body. She was too caught up.
The name suddenly got louder,
“Samira!”
OR;
Langdon follows Samira out to the roof and helps her through another mental health episode.

Summary
After a few minutes of staring at the doorway where he’d previously been, Samira got up and figured, as a favor, she’d strip the bed for him and send everything down the laundry chute. As she was ripping the sheets from the bed, she heard something metal clatter onto the floor.
She stopped, stepping back and surveying the linoleum for something shiny. There it was, a gleam of light just underneath the bed. She squatted down to pick it up.
It was a ring. Plain silver. Samira recalled Abbot’s brief glance at his own hand. His left hand, where his ring finger sat empty.
Samira was holding Dr. Abbot’s wedding ring.
—
Beginning from the day of PittFest, Dr. Jack Abbot takes particular interest in Dr. Samira Mohan. Simultaneously, Samira must figure out where to go with her career and navigate her personal life. When Samira plans to leave the PTMC for her fellowship, Jack does everything to get her to stay. In the process, their relationship leaves the student-teacher realm and becomes something a lot more complicated.

Summary
“You should get back home to your wife,” she says carefully, slowly, like it’s a reprimand she doesn’t trust him to register as one unless she draws attention to it.
He pretends he didn’t hear her.
It’s only later, at the bus stop, that a firm sense of certainty washes over Frank for the first time in a very long time. He’d gotten it all wrong. Mel clearly has someone else to preoccupy herself with. It was embarrassing, really, to assume she would want a fuck up like him. At that moment, like the punctuation to some cosmic joke, the wedding ring he’s been fingering absentmindedly slips off his finger and skitters around in a circle between his feet. He crouches down to pick it back up as the last bus home flies past. He half wishes it had hit him; it probably would have hurt less than the realisation that he has feelings for Mel King, and she doesn’t feel the same way.
OR
Frank wants Mel so badly he's willing to fuck up his whole life to have whatever crumbs of her he can scrape together. The question is: how many people is he going to hurt on his way to her, and will he stop before she becomes one of them?

Summary
One year after his return to the PTMC, if you asked Frank Langdon what his plans were going to be for a week in July, he probably would not have predicted he'd be spending it vacationing with his colleagues at a campground somewhere in the Poconos. But it's not just the weather that's heating up and making him sweat... his relationship with Mel King is on the verge of becoming something else entirely.

“Just as a note,” the dentist tells Frank, her voice low. “She may be a little… rambunctious as the sedatives wear off.”
He nods in response, his eyes trained on Mel. She grins at him, unaware that she is the topic of conversation. Rambunctious, he thinks. What could sweet Mel possibly do to be described as rambunctious?

Summary
Actually, Mel's excited about a lot of things going into the new school year. She’s excited to co-teach with Dr. Mohan and Mr. Langdon. She’s excited to continue supporting the kids on her caseload from the previous year, and she knows writing their IEPs will go so much better now that she knows them and their families a little. She’s excited that her Physics class will be entirely made up of students she taught in Chemistry the previous year; they were a great group.
There are things to worry about, too. Co-teaching with two new people again. The daily possibility that she’s going to do something overwhelmingly embarrassing in front of Langdon. Still not knowing where she should go during her prep periods. That she’s going to be just as alone as she’s always been at work, but with some added disappointment because she’s let her hopes get up, just a little.
There’s no way that she and Langdon can co-teach as well as she hopes. She’s sure her bubble will burst soon enough, that her crush will fade, and everything will settle back to baseline.
(It doesn't.)

Summary
Everything is falling apart, and Langdon swears it isn't his fault. He's going through a rough patch, sure, but that's no reason for Robby to just abandon him for fresh meat. He can play those games too. He just needs to show Robby that he's worth more than that rat catcher is.
Robby is trying to heal. He really is. He's never been someone who's chased stability and routine, but with Whitaker, he feels different. Dennis is the difference between romance and lust. He wants to settle, and he wants to do so with Dennis; he just has to make that clear to Langdon—the most stubborn person on earth.
It's jarring to go from being completely ignored and ostracized in a large family to being the center of attention, especially when feelings are involved. Dennis knows it's sinful, but it can't be that bad when it feels so good. He is just trying not to lose his mind over the two men fighting over him—or at least he thinks it's over him.

Summary
If Langdon was actually clever, he would have already sweat this feeling out, spit it out like a wad of blood he can’t keep forever. Instead, it feels like in every shared day shift with Robby, he’s swallowing down his emotions and then they come back up his throat like vomit. There’s an uncanny resemblance there, a similarity between what Langdon hides in his locker and what he keeps in his mouth, behind his teeth; both give him this feeling—a longing to be found, but Langdon can’t find himself willing to give anything up first.

Summary
When elite spy Ilsa Faust takes what should be a routine freelance mission in Zurich, she doesn’t expect it to shatter every rule of reality. Sent to intercept the sale of stolen technology, she’s caught in a catastrophic explosion of light, and wakes to find herself in 1995, decades in the past, alone and stranded. Her weapons are useless, her contacts nonexistent, and the world is a slower, analog version of the one she left behind. Desperate to find a way home, Ilsa uncovers whispers of a scientist who may have built the very device that sent her here, and discovers that history itself is being rewritten.
But her search takes an impossible turn when she crosses paths with a young Ethan Hunt, a rising IMF agent, years before she was ever meant to meet him. Torn between preserving the timeline and saving a man who has no idea who she is, Ilsa becomes entangled in a deadly conspiracy that spans across decades. Every decision she makes threatens to unravel the future she came from, and the love she never expected to find. As time fractures and loyalties collide, Ilsa must face the ultimate choice: return to her own era and the life she knew, or remain trapped in the past with the one person destined to remember her.

Summary
“You’re so tense…” Dennis whispered, voice barely audible over shitty music and people talking. His fingers massaged over Mac’s shoulder as he spoke. “Are you nervous?”
“No!” Mac squeaked—totally not conspicuous at all. “Ahem–just… We haven’t hung out in a while. Gotta get back in the flow of things is all.” Mac would hold back on telling Dennis every time they hang out, he feels like he’s going to puke from a guilt he can’t quite put his finger on.
After reconnecting with Dennis, Mac has to struggle with the revelation that he will never be the good Catholic boy he's supposed to be. Dennis helps worsen those thoughts, along with getting his own personal gain from the situation.
