Summary
Jimmy is a Mer who was abandoned by his pod when he was a child. After a thunder storm, he ends up stuck in a lake on the edge of a human city. With no way back to the ocean, Jimmy resigns himself to avoiding humans and waiting for his inevitable death.
Tango is a detective that has been investigating one of the most dangerous street gangs in the city, known as the Watchers. The Watchers get sick of all his prying and decide to 'dispose of him' in the nearby lake. Tango is miraculously saved at the last second by a Mer, who he ends up befriending with the help of his best friends Impulse, Skizz, and Zedaph
All the while, what was supposed to be a simple murder case quickly spirals out of hand as more information is revealed. Tensions are high at the police station as the Watchers make their next move, will our heroes all make it out unscathed?

Summary
Nobody saved them. The moon slammed into the planet, crushing it, obliterating it. In what felt like hours but was probably just minutes, all that remained floating debris. The fires had been put out as the atmosphere was shattered, oxygen escaping into the vacuum of space. His entire world had been reduced to floating chunks of matter within just a few moments.

“What?” Tango looked at Skizz in confusion, subtly trying to tug his cloak tighter around himself. The cold was really starting to get bad; it felt like his bone marrow was slowly freezing over, leaving him hurting and suppressing shivers. What was going on? Was it some kind of virus? But that didn’t make sense - Tango was practically immune to all diseases since they got burnt off the minute they entered his system. Besides, Xisuma usually checked the code regularly to make sure nothing more than the average cold was lurking around on the server-
