Summary
When what should have been a straight forward mission in Hell's Kitchen goes pear shaped due to lack of communication, teaching his teammates sign language seems like a logical step to Clint. Communication when their comms are down - great plan! And including the local vigilante, who's been working closely with them on this, is a real no-brainer.
Until it turns out said vigilante is an asshole that thinks sign language is beneath him, judging by the way he's stubbornly refusing to learn it.
(Conversely - Matt's trying, he really is but damn it, those two signs are exactly the same... what do you mean they mean completely different things?!)

Summary
Steve Rogers and Tony Stark live in the Avengers Tower with the rest of the team but they may as well be living in different planets for all the things they can't seem to see eye to eye on. Steve has deep seated misconceptions about Tony, and really, Tony just thinks Steve is a dick. They may work well in the field together, but as far as their personal dealings with each other go, they don't know jack shit about one another.
STEM is an unexpected Internet phenomenon--it's Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, eBay, Goodreads, Skype and Amazon all rolled into one. And all the Avengers are in it with Steve being the most recent one to join. And Steve is just starting to really get into it, too especially after meeting heir2mecha.realm who is an amazing conversationalist--witty, smart, mysterious and remarkably thoughtful, and Steve can't help but trust him.
But is Steve ready to discover the man behind the mystery? Or will his misconceptions smother what feeble fire has been ignited between two people who have more to offer each other than what they're prepared to admit?

All the beauty of a comic-verse Iron Man/Steve/Tony relationship but set in present day and longer and drawn out and better. Even if it feels like watching a train wreck at times. Happy ending and all's well and stupidly sweet.Written before Age of Ultron. Worth writing a fic based off later if I can find the inspiration to do so.

Summary
After Afghanistan and Iron Man, SHIELD gave Tony a choice. He could out himself as Iron Man, or claim it was a bodyguard, and hide his face from the world.
Agent Agent never said anything, but Tony had hacked SHIELD's servers and knew they wanted him to go the bodyguard route. Yes to Iron Man and no to Tony Stark, and all that.
That, as well as keeping Pepper safe, made him go with the bodyguard cover, and flimsy as he thought it was, no one questioned it.
Of course, why would they? Tony Stark was no superhero.

Iron Man is a villain, an unknown entity and an enemy of the Avengers. Tony Stark disappeared after Afghanistan to help himself recover from PTSD.
Clint's POV, making for a truly an entertaining read. Character obliviousness (of ALL the characters) is gold. And it's absolutely littered with Pop-Culture references (c'mon, Tony wouldn't let Steve run around not knowing all that stuff).
And as for Tony. Tony, in this, is amazing. Especially since his character is slowly pulled together through what Clint can work out about the random guy Steve ran into at the park. 10/10 would recommend :P"There are always blueberries in some form or another available in every common room, in every cafeteria, across the whole company. If the media is having another go at him, there’s suddenly a technical thing that needs his input immediately. Always. Quite an effective distraction actually. And on the really bad days, whenever he needs to be alone or to be with anyone he counts as family… Nothing goes wrong. Ever."

Summary
Thor takes a good look at Loki once he has hauled him back onto the quinjet, and realizes that there is something odd about Loki's eyes. Thor has grown and changed much in the last year, and no longer takes anything for granted. So he starts asking questions. It doesn't take long to figure out that Loki is not acting of his own free will.
Tony Stark knows what it is to be forced to do as an enemy commands. Steve Rogers has seen the atrocities manipulative madmen are willing to commit. Clint, Logan, Bruce and Natasha have been subjected to said madmen. They all know what it is to lose themselves, and to seek redemption.
Together, this band of broken heroes draws a line in the sand. They will not tolerate any tyrant, foreign or domestic. That includes Nick Fury and the WSC, who have used everyone on the team for their own aims. It includes Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, who has hunted Bruce against all reason. It includes Odin, who treats his sons like commodities. And it includes Thanos, who has delusions of conquering Earth.
Along the way, they learn to trust each other. They learn to help each other. They become a family.
