Toji is well versed in shut up and wait. He relaxes his shoulders; he lets his arms drape or dangle. He doesn't give into the rabid interior grind of his gums, the desire to work up foam and spit and let it drip from teeth locked into flesh. When he does that, Gojo will have to kill him. And Toji isn't that kind of animal. He can delay that gratification as long as necessary.
Megumi would find it weird and uncomfortable, he thinks. To have his 'benefactor' kill his deadbeat dad a second time.
Mind your own business, kid, he imagines saying. Death pacts are fine between two consenting adults.
Junpei turns back time for everybody who died in Shibuya. He goes a little too hard to save Nanami, and maybe didn't go hard enough for Toji. This indirectly causes Gojo and Toji to take turns being insane, mostly about each other. Sorry, he will not be taking feedback at this time, this is not his fault. (It is his fault.)

Toji surveys Gojo Satoru, looks him up and down, and he can’t say he dislikes what he sees. There could always be worse situations than having to fuck a bratty white haired twink. "Sure, why not?"

It was billed as a drug trip gone wrong, a bunch of people high on bath salts eating people's faces in Florida. Then Georgia. Then up through the rest of the United States. Bodies rose from the morgues, groaning and shuffling, devouring any living thing in their path. Hospitals in India, Africa, Australia, South America. London, eventually; the outbreak spreading, the dead walking the Earth and feasting on the flesh of the living.
And Soap, admittedly, is having a grand old time.

But what he couldn’t handle was the questions. Why he hadn’t settled down yet, why he didn’t have a nice Scottish girl on his arm.
Why he wasn’t married with a child on the way, because Ethel and James weren’t getting younger, and John was already too old. For fuck’s sake.
“Maybe I don’t want to bring home a wee lass,” John had snapped, voice cracking as he dug his spoon in harder than necessary, a brown, congealed clump of freezer-burned rocky road flying onto the floor. “Maybe I don’t even like women, has anyone considered that?”
And there, in less than twenty words, John had completely outed himself.
