You're not fond of people. You know the statistics and see the evidence of evil all around you in the world. So you move to the woods, where you've always felt the most at peace. It's perfect: a quaint little cabin just a short hike away from Crystal Lake, but far enough from the notorious campground that you shouldn’t be disturbed by whoever disregarded the local legends to party it up on the shores of that lake.
You have heard those legends yourself: a killer stalks these woods. The vengeful soul of a boy who had drowned and then came back as a man, or rather as an unstoppable force that kills all who dare step foot in his territory. Jason Voorhees, they call him, and he kills to avenge his Mother and the child that he’d been, choking and struggling at the bottom of that lake while the camp counselors in charge of his safety looked the other way.

Merely two years after she had personally killed her undead, demon-riddled, murderous birth father, Maggie Burroughs—now going by her birth name, Katherine Krueger—finds an article about the nearby Camp Crystal Lake. A picture of one of the deceased and the fact that he died in his sleep tips Katherine off to the fact that maybe her father isn't as dead as she had (foolishly, in retrospect) thought. So she packs up a meager few belongings and heads off to investigate. She wouldn’t know until much, much later how much of a mistake that was.

Lewis takes it very badly, and suddenly Danny is left trying to fight a powerful Vengeful Wraith without hurting him, and still trying to deal with Technus, who now has a human meat shield. If Danny can't save Arthur before serious damage is done to him, there's no telling what Lewis might do.

Summary
Once upon a time, River Song was lost. Only nothing and no one is ever truly lost. They're just waiting to be found.
Clint Barton and Phil Coulson found River and brought her into SHIELD. The result would be one of the best teams in the organization's history. With her new partners, River will fight criminals and terrorists, come to terms with her convoluted past, travel Time and Space, and even help save the world.
It was probably inevitable. Her mother did say she'd be a superhero.
Disclaimer: During a misspent week in September 2012 I mainlined the Avengers and Doctor Who until my brain managed to superimpose River Song and Natasha Romanoff and fuse them into one character. Then she started dictating. Before I knew it, Clint Barton and Phil Coulson had elbowed their way in. That's how this AU 'verse came to be. It's involved some tweaked timelines, altered plot points, a ton of original back story for River, and a lot of fun on my part. I'm having a ball playing in Marvel's and Moffat's sandboxes (and making no money).
