Jaskier has always known his destiny was on the coast. He goes to California to meet it and everything else promised on the golden coast—the greatest music in history, freedom, and a life of his own.
Jaskier just didn't anticipate the man-shaped bump in the road.
In front of Jaskier a man—naked from the waist up—stands in front of a set of drawers, folding a shirt.
The man stills. He turns his head to Jaskier. A muscle in his jaw twitches. His handsome features twist into a look of anger. “Get out.” His eyebrows knit together and crease lines on his forehead. His dark eyes narrow and, for a fraction of a second, Jaskier swears they glow.
“Oh, fuck,” Jaskier says and averts his eyes. “I’m sorry—I’m so sorry. I thought this was the bathroom.”

Summary
It is 21st Century Novigrad, witchers are still witchering though not hated like they used to be. In fact several of the schools do sexy calendars, and the cats had that docuseries about them, but the wolves don't do any of that, they just care about the job.
And Ciri, hence the move to the city so that she could have a good education. Geralt and Yennerfer are the terror of the PTA raising hell (an affectionate nickname for Ciri bestowed by Lambert). Ciri splits her time between her parents, who broke up over a year ago but remain the best of friends.
Ciri's school is having a fundraiser and Geralt agrees to help without reading the fine print. The fine print is that it is a bachelor auction, and he is up on the block. On said block, he meets the school's music teacher Jaskier. A man he had met the week before, when they had sex in an alley behind a bar.
Geralt has had worse nights in his life, he just couldn't remember them. But at least this wouldn't matter. Not like he was going to fall in love with whoever bought him, was he?

Summary
It has been only seven days since Posada and Geralt's paper-thin patience can't handle this chattering bardling following him everywhere.
The witcher tries everything to scare him off and each time Geralt pushes Jaskier away the songbird comes back with more determination.Geralt stops trying after a while and accepts his fate as Jaskier's muse. This burden slowly seems to become a need and Geralt is not ready to handle his own feelings when he was denying them throughout his whole life.
OR: How these two muppets trying hard not to fall in love.

He really should have expected it, but he didn't realize that Jaskier was in this town. What he never could have expected was four other Jaskiers to come rushing in to pull the pissed off Jaskier off of him.

“Hey, so this is where you ended up,” Jaskier said, sliding into the chair across from Geralt in the sad truck-stop diner 50 kilometres outside of the backwater swamp-dump reporting an infestation of drowners. Jaskier had found the posting on the Witcher forum he shouldn’t know about, but did, in part because he ‘managed’ Geralt’s media presence (unpaid, and un-asked-for) and in part because he was a nosy bitch.
Tracking Geralt down at any point in time was an art form of anticipating what his current driving force might be: money, empathy, or rage.
Also, sometimes, a nap.
AKA a modern-au where Jaskier is famous on the internet, Geralt is still a Witcher, they hunt monsters and are bad at emotions (sometimes at the same time)
