“Bringing our best friends back home,” says Bucky.
“Your best—” Karli’s eyes go wide. “What, OG Captain America and…?”
“Natasha,” finishes Sam. “The Black Widow.”
“I thought they were dead,” she says. Her face scrunches up into a dubious expression. “Don’t tell me the tabloids are actually right and Steve Rogers has been on the moon.”
“Not on the moon, no, but they are in outer space, and they probably need an extraction from a sticky situation, or a ride back home,” says Sam. “So we’re taking a little space road trip to go pick ‘em up.”
On a space road trip to bring Steve and Natasha back home, Sam, Bucky, and Karli start to figure out just what kind of superheroes they want to be, and Sam and Bucky figure out what kind of life they want to build with a family that includes Steve and Natasha again.

“Simple,” Flag said. “Luthor needs oversight. A.R.G.U.S. decided it should come from one of you.”
Hal smirked. “You mean us—the League?”
Flag shook his head. “No. I mean him.”

His griping trails off to embittered murmuring. He can no longer resist the article’s interminable pull and returns at once to his reading.

Summary
Lex Luthor had been a vampire for 5 years now. Unfortunately for him, he has an insatiable appetite and a palate that seems unable to be sated in any sense of the word. But, when Lex creates a clone of Superman, Ultraman, he is finally able to eat without being repulsed.
But, when Ultraman is killed in his conflict with Superman and Lex is left without a proper food source or fuck body, his intent on seeking revenge is multiplied. Without an adequate food source, Lex can’t control his urges and is forced to submit to his bloodlust.
Clark Kent, noticing a string of odd assaults in Metropolis, begins connecting Lex Luthor’s recent release from Belle Reeve to what the public is considering to be ‘vampire attacks’. Superman needs to take responsibility for his transgressions, and Clark Kent is getting dangerously close to a malnourished predator.
Lex’s urges can only be quelled with blood, and Clark Kent smells suspiciously sweet.

Superman is trusting. It's sort of his whole deal. He trusts the US government to not arrest him again when he goes to the meeting they asked for. It turns out, he should have trusted them far less. The government has forced Lex Luthor into a mating heat, where he has to be mated immediately or die. Clark doesn't have much of a choice except to save Lex's life.
or: due to government interference, Clark mates Lex, Lex gets pregnant, Lex meets Clark's parents, Lois mates Clark, Lois mates Lex, and Lex finally gets to complete his mating with Clark.
