Summary
The main lights in the outside room are shut off a short time later as the scientists leave, the space now bathed in the red of the maintenance lighting that is kept on at all times. It stays still, for a time, watching, listening, waiting to see if anyone is coming back. Mentally runs through the list of the name tags it’d seen today, tries to remember if any of them had led more painful prior experiments.
