Summary
Kyoya had seen Tamaki shirtless before, hell even naked one time. However, this instance was different. It wasn’t like the other times were intentional (though Tamaki had no qualms about who saw him undressed or not). But this time, Kyoya could no longer deny the butterflies he would get any time he was near Tamaki. The shortness of breath that came with every tender glance. That lovely air when they both shared a laugh. The gentle touch of Tamaki’s hands against his own. He would no longer deny that shimmering face sprinkled with golden freckles. He would no longer deny his happiness.
Kyoya took it all in, not even realizing he had been gazing at his friend for so long.

He holds out his hand between them.
Tamaki’s head turns. He looks at the hand, then up at Kyoya. His face is uncertain, confused, and so Kyoya pours everything into his answering gaze.
Eyes wide, Tamaki takes his hand. When Kyoya lets him, tension rushes out of him, like a sigh he hadn’t known he’d been holding. He brings Kyoya’s hand up to his face, closing his eyes, and breathes out quietly down Kyoya’s wrist.
Kyouya matches his fingers to the curve of Tamaki’s cheek and says, “You can have more than this.”

“Why not? I thought you loved the attention confessions brought to you. Don’t you want to hear about how I looked forward to seeing you every day or how badly I missed you when we were apart?” He felt like he was going crazy. Or that he had gone crazy long ago. Tamaki had that effect on him. “Or, I could tell you about the sleepless nights I spent planning our trips and how I just felt the need to know everything so I could be the perfect tour guide for you-”
“I wanted to be the reason for that smile, you just always smiled at me…” People hardly smiled at him. Kyoya shook his head. Tamaki always smiled at him. And now, it was ruined. “That doesn’t matter now-”
Tamaki cut him off, stepping closer to him. His eyes were trained on Kyoya’s face. “You’re not confessing to me because you love me.” Kyoya wanted to scream.

Mike whined, furrowing his brows and closing his eyes. “Can’t we just call him and go tomorrow? It’s raining.” He said, burrowing his face into the crook of Will’s neck.
Will snickered. “You’re such a baby.”
Mike scoffed into Will’s neck, but it turned into a yawn. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Well then I guess you wouldn’t mind if I just—“ Will stopped scratching his head, pulling both hands away and laying them on top of Mike’s outstretched arms.
“No—“ He whined, grabbing Will’s hands and putting them on his head again. “Please don’t stop.”
“What did I tell you?” Will giggled, resuming his scratching on Mike’s head.

Will and Mike talk while cuddling in Will’s bed.

---They sat there for god knows how long, just breathing each other in. The moon watched over them as a few silent moments passed, the sounds of their breathing creating a serene atmosphere in the room.
“This is nice,” Will finally managed to voice, still not letting go of his grip on Mike. It felt too real, and he wanted to dream so bad that maybe Mike did reciprocate his feelings. He wanted to dream of being with him, holding hands, sharing everything with him, being more than just friends. But he couldn’t bring himself to do it, he couldn’t while Mike was still tangled into him. So he didn’t, deciding to just let the moment be.
Mike hummed in agreement to Will’s comment. His hands on Will tightened again before he took a long breath and whispered words into the air that would be the breaking of Will Byers.
“I'm sorry,”
Will frowned at the words, chest aching as he realized why he'd said it. But Mike could feel the confusion radiating off of him.
