Simon's usually stoic face scrunched with confusion. "What are you doing?"
"Well- I just, ya know. I just wanted to-" Grace closed his eyes and took a deep breath that did nothing to calm his nerves before he shakily managed out. "I made you, a bouquet."
Simon's expression only twisted further into distress, "Why did you do that?"
Grace felt his measly courage wheeze out of him like a pathetic balloon, letting out a weak little, "Huh?"
After a moment for this brain to catch up with his mouth, he gulped and opened his mouth to try again, then stopped. Started again. "It’s… flowers."
"Yes," Simon said slowly, "I can see that."
Grace swallowed and tentatively added, "…For you."
That landed wrong. Simon’s immediately tensed, not in anger, more like suspicion and concern. He eyed the flowers with pursed lips before slowly drawing out another, "Why?"
"What?"

Summary
Boothill lost all of himself when his body was replaced with metal and wires. When an enemy strike destroys his framework and leaves him facing death- or it's analog- once again, he finds someone there by his side, and more than willing to help him find that humanity buried deep within.

"That's the thing..." Ricky starts, turning his head away from Ben's curious gaze in favor of looking at the wall instead. Haha, what shade of green is that again? "I went to the doctor right after, and he told me I had somethin'. Hyper- uh, hyper somethin'." He fumbles his words, trying to remember the correct term, cursing at himself for not paying more attention when his doctor mentioned it earlier (well, he got the gist of it: he can't see shit). "Either way, it means I have trouble seeing things from up close."
After Ricky speaks, he's met with contemplative silence. But silence nonetheless.

He’s a bare three feet away when Rogers fucking materializes out of thin air, cuts right in front of him, and heads straight for the book.
“Hey,” Bucky whispers furiously, “I want that book!”
Rogers freezes. His head snaps around, and he gives Bucky a look filled with horror.
He points a finger at Rogers. “I don’t care how hot you are, or how ripped,” Bucky growls. “My assignment is due today, and I will fucking fight you for the book if I have to.”
Before Rogers can recover from his surprise, Bucky leaps forward, grabs the book, and clutches it to his chest.
