“Why didn’t you tell me?” He’s clenching his fists around the dangerous thermometer, looking halfway like he wants to punch something and halfway like he just wants to go to sleep again and cry. It’s a look she’s used to seeing on her brother and in the mirror. “Why did you just let me send you to—If I get sick, what happens then, huh? Who takes care of you?”
Or: Whenever Nya finds herself in the line of danger (which is more often she'd like, in a world where ghosts and skeletons can come knocking at your door whenever they please and take your family away from you), for some reason, it never seems to hurt her alone. For some reason, there seem to be people who just can't bear the thought of seeing her in pain.
This is... less ideal than one would think.

Nya turns to face him, a clear thought on her mind.
“Which means it’s all still there…”
“Would it be too soon for you to go back there?”
Or, the Lighthouse becomes a memory scrapbook for Jay and Nya. Or, perhaps even a safe haven.

“I think fate is against me. Or, I guess, destiny.”
Or, Nya cheats death one time and now it’s trying to catch up to her, in more ways then one.

Summary
It’s not a type of freezing that Lloyd knows. He was homeless for all of winter, yet he’d never encountered this type of cold before. It started in his head and he’s waiting for the inevitable brain freeze but it never comes. The best way he can describe it is that it feels apocalyptic in nature.
It was silent and lonely and dizzy but it knew.
It knew what it had done and what it would continue to do.

Summary
Rewrite of the parts of Skybound that make my blood boil.
Nya's struggles are actually taken seriously, and she's allowed to yell at people. Jay isn't a completely selfish tool the whole time and actually gets some character development and learns things.
These two did not deserve to get screwed over by the writers as much as they did. Especially Nya.
