Summary
After surviving the initial assassin sent to kill Leila, the Night Court now turns to its next task: surviving the European Summit. With this many fae concentrated in one place, things were always bound to get dicey. Matters are only complicated by the mysterious mist that has bound itself to Leila, which is slowly devouring her mind. Even worse, they're probably playing host to the people who sent it. When an unexpected guest arrives with the delegation, Rigel's got his hands full just keeping Leila alive, much less the whole romance thing he can't seem to figure out.
Leila, meanwhile, is caught between two realities: the one she remembers, and the one she's seen in pictures. With the Summit events demanding her attention, and her ever declining condition, she has no choice but to rely on her self-appointed stalwart defender. As their quarters grow closer, and their public appearances increase, fake-it-till-you-make-it is her motto once more. Rigel's quite the catch, but can she really fall for a guy in a matter of days?
And, how does one deal with premeditated regicide? Sometimes it's not easy being Queen.

A retelling of “Snow White, Rose Red” set in K. M. Shea’s Fairytale world.
Life in Baris shortly after the death of the far-off Snow Queen is very different for those who spend their days traveling the desert to bring trade between various cities. Kalyca is a self-taught magic user, or mage as they are coming to be known, and longs for a way to avoid her magic’s price. Her sister Snow wishes for a deeper meaning to life than endless trade and travel. When the two sisters stumble on a plot to overthrow the crown of Baris, will any magic in the world be enough to help them? And how did a huge brown bear escape from the palace zoological gardens?

According to King Emerys in KM Shea's fairytale retelling, the cursed elven generals were free of their curse, but not by his doing. "By the time I finally caught up with them, a young woman, a cobbler’s apprentice from Trieux, had already freed them.” He goes on to add that the breaking of the curse "involved love of a sort—and the girl did fall in love with one of my generals.”
Here's my attempt at filling in the sketchy details. :)
