The fewer obstacles between her and Chronos, the better. All the more so if said obstacles consist of a band of Sirens led by an obnoxiously annoying sea monster with delusions of grandeur who just won’t shut up. It is a no-lose situation no matter how she looks at it, not to mention both a minor prophecy and a petition from a fellow witch whom she has always looked up to, so the words leave her lips as easy as breathing.
And then, everything goes to hell.

Just hop on and I’ll whisk you away!”
Melinoë feels like she is being pranked. She cocks her head to the side, equally as confused as she is annoyed. “Hop on… your shell?”, she asks, disbelief evident in her voice.
All Scylla does is nod vigorously, her grin big and eyes expectant as she waits for an answer. Now this is just weird.
