“What happened?” Abolish asked, taking in the sight of the broken doctor standing stone-faced in front of him
Legundo gestured to the body in the man’s arms, wrapped in wool and linen.
“He happened.”
Everyone seemed to go still at the realisation of what this meant.
AU where Owen takes the cure that Abolish offers him, and immediately falls ill. Something to do with having a billion crippling illnesses and also having been dead for 200 years.
Unfortunately for Owen, the only doctor in town is the guy he kinda sorta brutally murdered not an hour before.
Understandably, Legundo isn’t happy about having to take care of his sire. -

Scott had learned a little thing about how he wanted to live his life from everyone in Oakhurst. And while Avid had sparked that, had blindsided the unfeeling vampire with affection, annoyance, confusion, reverence, sadness, loss, grief- a mess of emotions that Scott still had yet to untangle- every life lost in this town had changed the way Scott had modelled his own life from that point on.
The year is 2026.
The Curse of Oakhurst has been broken for the past two decades, and Scott, Drift, and Shelby still visit every year to pay respects to their friends.
Scott takes the time to visit each grave, and reflect back on the lessons he’s learned from the people who gave their lives to the bloodthirsty soil of this town. -
