Summary
He can still feel Kirishima’s gaze on him when he finishes eating, so he shoots him a sideways glare and says, “Stop being fucking coy.”
“Huh?” Kirishima asks, blinking and looking away like that’d convince Bakugou he hadn’t just been staring.
“Man up,” Bakugou hisses at him. “If there’s something you want, then fucking say it.”
Kirishima goes quiet, again, and Bakugou can practically hear the gears turning in his head. If he keeps this up, he’s going to burn out whatever brain he still has. Just as Bakugou’s about to scoff and tell him so, Kirishima leans in so that their faces are too close together.
“What,” Bakugou says, every one of his muscles locking up as he fights conflicting urges to lean closer and edge away from Kirishima’s proximity.
“You stopped me, last time,” Kirishima tells him, lips curled into a pout. “Are you going to let me say it, now?”
Kirishima has always made things easy for Bakugou. But that doesn't mean that Bakugou's gotten any better at these things, even after all of these years.

Summary
Kira isn't like other Hollows. For one thing, you can't see his hole. It's not a matter of clothing covering it up: Kira's hole, high up in his chest cavity and just off center, doesn't break the skin. You can’t see the hole but you can see evidence of it in his mask. His mask is flesh rather than bone and is perfectly human looking, bearing an almost exact resemblance to himself. If you didn't know him well or if you were too careless to give him more than a glance, you might not see the mask. But Renji sees it: it's there in the smile Kira wears but doesn't mean.
(Whether it's that he can't or that he won't, Kira is not getting over Gin's defection with Aizen. Renji and Shuuhei set out to do something about it; Shuuhei seems to understand well what's going on and what to do, while Renji has to figure it all out as they go along.)

Summary
Ikkaku licks dry lips and continues. "I mean, we came here to get away from all this, didn't we?"
Did they? Yumichika had been sure they'd come here because Ikkaku wanted to follow Zaraki, and Yumichika followed Ikkaku because nothing else was even an option.
Yumichika and Ikkaku have made it to Seireitei and joined the 11th Division, and everything's better now. It is. It will be. It has to be.

Summary
In which Bokuto Kotarou is woefully inept at conveying his feelings, and Akaashi Keiji has a sort-of superpower. Sort of.
Next to him, Komi is chewing his cupcake dutifully, albeit with obvious effort. Washio has assumed a completely neutral expression on his face, although Akaashi thinks that his eyes might be watering. Sarukui, having seemingly demolished the entire thing out of sheer willpower alone, looks like he deeply regrets every single choice that has led to this precise moment in his life.
‘It isn’t too bad, huh?’ Bokuto says, grinning. ‘I made them in our school colours, so they’re like, marbled black and white chocolate swirls! Do you guys want more?’
Sarukui looks like he might pass out at the thought alone. Komi pauses mid-chew to shake his head weakly.
‘I’ll have more,’ Akaashi says, to the general astonishment of everyone.

Summary
Oikawa Tooru is the only legitimate son of the Western king which should make him the sole heir to the throne. Except that he's not. That's because he's an omega, and omegas aren't fit to rule. With his title stripped from him, Tooru is handed over as a peace offering to the Southern king's son, Iwaizumi Hajime. Life in the Southern kingdom is strikingly different from the life that Tooru has grown accustomed to in the luxurious Western kingdom but his adjustment to this strange, new place is paramount to the realm's fragile peace.

Day 2 for MatsuHana Week: In the Background
-
Somewhere out there is a world made of choices that you and I didn't make in our lifetime, an odd mix of circumstances and coincidences that culminates into us never meeting. A world where we are strangers rather than soulmates. Would I even miss you, would I even realize that something is missing, and how different would I be without you?
This is not a story of now and forever, but of now and never again.
