“Promise me, Charles,” The name comes as an afterthought, the boy’s voice shaking, “Promise me you’ll kill me when I turn.”

The idea is so horrifying that it stuns Charles into silence for a couple seconds. “I didn’t know that. Why didn’t I know that?”
Edwin’s shoulders tense. “The whole thing is bloody tragic enough as it is.”
Grabbing his wrist, Charles begins marching them back in the direction of the pond they used to get here.
Edwin doesn’t resist, but he does argue, because of course he does. “Charles, where are we going?”
“St. Hilarion’s. We’ve got a new case, don’t we?”

And it was over again when Laura shot Silas. Goddammit—it was supposed to be over. “Get away...” he begged, choking down the low, rumbling growl that began clawing its way up his throat.
“Ryan,” he heard the woman plead, already scrambling after him, “please, you’re gonna hurt yourself—”
Gnashing his teeth, he clawed viciously at his shirt until the fabric began to tear. Vision clouded with a glowing red haze, blood pooled in his mouth as his teeth ripped through his cheeks. Bones breaking and reforming as he felt ready to burst from his skin, Ryan finally screamed:
“GET AWAY FROM ME.”

He lost his parents to an accident, and his happy life in Almeria, Spain, had to be upheld as he and his sister, Victoria, had to move to live with their Aunt Wendy in England.
With new last names, new lives and an entire new language to master, the Primavera (Or now, Spring) Siblings have to learn how live life without their parents.
Charlie has to go to Truham Grammar and start his new life, and he meets some people he'll keep forever and some people he wishes he didn't meet at all.
