Summary
Many had marked their calendars in anticipation of what they were effectively calling “Judgement Day” for one loathsome sinner. The event itself was rather absurdist, the first of its kind, for no sinner had ever caused such an uproar that they demanded a second Judgement post-mortem.
What punishment, everyone thought, would be fitting for a man who made such history?
Once, this creature was a man whose voice and manner were adored by the many who followed him. Now, he stood alone, chained, and without the strength to raise his head.

Summary
Billy starts forward, wanting up in Harrington’s space, wanting his doe-eyes on him, wanting him to know how fucking feral Billy can really be, given the chance.
But Harrington levels him with a stare so cold Billy just--just stops. It’s Harrington who gets in Billy’s space and it’s Harrington who’s getting Billy looking at him and it’s--it’s not what Billy wanted.
“Touch me again, Hargrove,” Harrington murmurs to him, slow and deliberate and all dark fire, “And I’ll break your goddamn fingers.”
It’s the first time Harrington’s looked at him in a week and Billy wants to fucking hide.

Billy’s honestly a little upset about it, but maybe Joyce Byers isn’t as crazy as everyone says.
He’s only known her for about 2 hours now and he’s mostly certain the woman is just a typical mother. He was kind of looking forward to the drugged out mad-woman everyone painted her to be. Would have made the evening a whole lot more interesting.

Billy is out the door within a split second, just in time to see Harrington get decked in the face like an idiot.

Summary

It's October 1984, and Demogorgons are still coming to Hawkins from the Upside Down, opening gates around Hawkins Lab. Every night, Steve patrols the woods, hoping to stop them before they kill anyone else.
Hawkins has had a hard year.
When the new guy that's been giving him shit in gym class is attacked by a Demogorgon, Steve saves his life. Now if only he would stop turning up in dangerous places in various states of injury... Because Demogorgons are attracted to blood.

But Max is too late. He’s begged her to help him, and she didn’t, and now she’s too late. Billy can feel the monster pushing forward in his head, and he realises that it’s now or never, and no one’s coming. But Billy refuses to murder his own sister, or her friends.
“Max, please.” Everything hurts so bad now that he’s started twitching, his left leg spasming. He’s not sure if that’s him begging, or if it’s the monster.
All Max says is, “It’s gonna be okay. We want to help you. We want to help you.”
It’s all up to Billy now.
So he does the only thing he can think of, desperate as he is.

Summary
In which Billy Hargrove has people on his side. What would have happened if a few people had decided to take a closer look at Billy and see that what he needed was a little help. With lots of found family and Neil bashing.
Also the Upside Down is conveniently forgotten and never really mentioned after the first chapter. I am well aware of the gaping plot hole, and I have chosen to ignore it.
A hand landed on his window sill and Billy cursed at himself for flinching. Hopper peered down at him, giving Billy and the car a once-over, an eyebrow raising at the smell of alcohol. “You know how fast you were going son?”
Billy’s done this dance before, knows the question is hypothetical and that there’s nothing he can say to convince the cop otherwise. So he smirked, the corners of his mouth pulling at the bruise on his jaw. “Real damn fast I hope.”

“You said somethin’ ‘bout an illness.” He interrupted her.
“He was diagnosed with Alzheimer five years ago.” Layla looked confused. “You didn’t know?”
Billy shook his head. “Haven’t talked to him in eight years.” He revealed to her.
Her eyes widened slightly. Looked at Billy’s expression, then at the man lying down on the hospital bed. “I feel like you had a good reason not to.” Layla added. “But at this time even specialized care won’t take him. He’s too far gone his illness and needs a familiar face around to help him settle at the bad times.” She paused, looked at him. “We are as of now discharging him into your care. You are legally obligated to take him, honey.”
He felt fear as an electrical shock from the floor up through his whole body, inside every single one of his bones. “Is he going to recognize me?”
Layla pondered. “Maybe. Maybe not. It varies. He may also recognize you in one minute and remember nothing on the other.” Was her answer. “Alzheimer is a very fickle thing.”

Billy does something that shocks Susan to her core. Something he has never done before.
His face crumbles, and he starts to cry.
