Because maybe he really can’t stand the thought of never getting another glimpse into the beautiful mosaic that is Evan Buckley’s mind.
So. Before he can think better of it. Before the guilt hits about looking in his dying partner’s personal journal, he snatches it from where it’s been lying on the floor, wipes the last of his tears with the sleeve of Buck’s hoodie, and begins reading.

“Hey Eddie?” He hears Buck say from behind him, breaking Eddie out of his thoughts. He turns, and there, down on one knee in the middle of his dust caked attic, is Evan Buckley, with a ring.
“Yes. Yes absolutely.” Eddie gets out before he can even really think about all the logistics of what he is saying.
Buck’s face falters for a second, his questioning look from before turning to something more confused, before looking down at the ring. His face does something weird then, a look that Eddie can’t describe even after 7 years of knowing him.
“What?”
“Yes, I'll marry you.” Eddie says, nodding, a grin spreading on his face.

Torbin screams as claws dig into him, his skull rattling as they hit bone. There’s nothing else to do but brace himself, and beg the Force for forgiveness, as he’s slammed into the wall behind him. His head knocks against the wall making him see stars, wait no, that’s a lightsaber, and he brings his saber up just in time to stop Kelnacca from cutting him in half.

He felt the ground move violently and saw a huge plume of smoke rocket into the air.
Two things happened almost simultaneously. First, Anakin felt a sharp pang of fear rip through his bond with Ahsoka. And second, he realized with horror, that the explosions had come from the direction of the Duros’ ships. And Ahsoka was with them.
There is an explosion on a mission that was supposed to be peaceful, and Ahsoka gets caught in it. Anakin freaks out.

And suddenly, the world came to a stop.
Obi-Wan watched, in slow motion, as his master’s eyes went wide with shock as the sith spun and impaled Qui-Gon, his father figure, through the chest.
Obi-Wan has a nightmare, Anakin comforts him, they eat snacks. It's a good time all around.

This feeling ended though, as all good things do.
The second he got off his ship he felt it. The air felt different. Thinner, drier, and still. Deathly still. But also frantic in a way that made his skin crawl and his heart start racing. It felt wrong. Everything felt wrong.
Basically just the "Who did this to you?" trope but with Lando and Maul because I want to hurt emotionally.
