He doesn’t know what comes over him then. Or maybe he does. Either way, his body moves before his brain realizes what he’s doing, and Remus leans across the way, stretching his arm out, and knocks the fruit clean out of Sirius’ hand. It hits the ground with a soft thud, wobbling against the edge of the blanket, then slowly succumbing to the pull of gravity and tumbling down the gentle slope of the hill right towards the edge of the lake.
Sirius’ eyes follow it for all of a second before snapping back to Remus’ face, indignation written in the frown of his lips and the pinch of his brows.
A pendulous second passes. Two. Three. They both blink at each other, eyes owlish, dumbfounded. Sirius breaks the silence.
“Remus,” he starts, “what the bloody hell was-”
Remus kisses him.

It turns out he doesn’t need to though, because barely five minutes have passed before:
“I’m sorry I’m late, I’m so so sorry!”
A man comes through the door of the nursery, utterly soaked through from the rain outside.
His long black hair is plastered to his face and neck, dripping onto the white button up shirt he’s wearing. He’s not wearing a coat or jumper or anything to protect him from the weather and the thin white fabric has gone see through from how wet it is, clinging to his thin frame. Charles recognises him instantly as Cassie’s dad, as the man who has made the past hour an irritating waste of time for him. Texting fic! It's my first fic ever, and it's mostly just for my own amusement (aka I have no idea what I'm doing)
Neil Josten has been getting random texts from unknown numbers every few days, and he deletes them seconds after getting them. After deleting the most recent one, he decides to text back and tell them to stop. He thinks he's typed in the right number, but when the person on the other side doesn't seem to know what's going on, Neil realizes maybe he's put in the wrong number. He's more curious than he should be of the annoyed stranger on the other end, who keeps telling Neil he doesn't appreciate Neil texting him, but also never stops him from continuing.

He shivered, involuntarily, coming to the realisation that he was freezing cold, and Kaveh’s hand cupped his cheek, words slurring together in a loud and frantic mess.Alhaitham comes home in the early hours of the morning, bleeding in his desire for Kaveh.
