Summary
Scott gives Jimmy so much gold that he doesn't really know what to do with it, and honestly? Jimmy had started to assume he just had more than even he could use - and Scott wore a lot of gold, so that was saying something.
There's a bit more to it than that, as he finds out.
Or; Giving gold as a gift means something special in Elven culture, Jimmy doesn't know this.

Summary
Having wings is, in any avian’s opinion, a privilege. They were to be cared for and cherished, and it didn’t matter if the player who owned the wings was an avian, an elytrian, or something else entirely. It should have been clear and made all the sense in the world, therefore, that when Joel showed a blatant disrespect for his own newly-bestowed wings, that Jimmy would - for lack of a better term - freak out.
Or,
Joel has no clue how to care for his own wings, and it’s driving Jimmy absolutely insane.

“Oh, I’m here again.” Jimmy said, voice so quiet Scott could barely make it out. Even without announcing it so directly Scott knew his husband had just switched with other Jimmy.
It wasn’t just his words that clued Scott in this time, his demeanor shifted suddenly and drastically. His soft, barely audible voice was so starkly different to the confident, loud man Scott had married. Jimmy seemed to shrink too, taking up less space, hunching over and lurking in the shadows of the room. These changes were always somewhat present during shifts, but today was different. Today it was obvious, today Jimmy was curling into himself, shaking lightly.
