Before the Bat, before the fall into A.C.E chemical vat. Bruce tries to infiltrate the Red Hood Gang again undercover. He doesn’t realize that Red Hood One has a different kind of trap set for him. (… And Crane’s prototype fear gas ‘may’ had an effect slightly akin to that of an aphrodisiac in certain doses.)
Includes Bruce over-thinking and being melodramatic.

He glanced over at Bruce. He took in his pale features illuminated by the mid-autumn moonlight and the way his skin glowed through the dimness of the night-- the way his perfectly bowed lips parted with each breath, the way he managed to look so peaceful and hostile in the same moment. Joker reached forwards and gently brushed his thumb underneath the Bat's eye where a purple ring had formed. He smirked as he recognized his own handiwork. Bruce looked gorgeous with his mark on him. How much money did he have to spend on makeup to cover Joker's love-bites from the media?
An idea had struck him. Joker paused for a moment before smiling.
“Oh Brucie, we’re going to be spending a lot more time together very soon,” He spoke to the unconscious body.

Summary
As Bruce steps on the stage, he holds out a hand for Jack to take. He obliges, walking steadily in front of the sea of people ready to celebrate the fall of Gotham’s most notorious villain.
“As you all know,” His boyfriend begins. “Today is the two-year anniversary of the Joker’s death.”
Yet somehow, the world is on fire again. Because the Joker isn’t dead. Not by a long shot.
Just so well disguised that he might as well have been.
At least, not until this moment, where Jack looks at himself, reflected in the television screens set up in the town square, and finally remembers who he is.
Two years after the Joker “died” and had his memory wiped to become Jack Napier, trophy boyfriend and personal assistant to reformed playboy, billionaire, philanthropist, and most importantly, superhero Bruce Wayne, Ivy’s plan to eradicate Gotham starts to stir the past up. With a deadline to save the city before it’s lost to the ashes forever, his world as he knows it crumbling around him, and the one, definitive fact that he loves Bruce Wayne no matter who he happens to be, it’s only a matter of time before he falls apart.
Obviously, things do not go as planned.

He can't let the rumor of a new horrific medical experiment at Arkham lie. He's got no choice but to go undercover and investigate himself. It's dangerous and probably a bad idea but he's all out of options.
Then the clown shows up and threatens to ruin it all. The only question is how much does he actually know?
