Summary
Henry Creel never fit in. He was quiet, sensitive, and spent most of his time alone. When his family moved into the Creel house, strange things started happening only to him. Lights flickered, shadows moved, and time felt wrong. Henry thought he was losing his mind, but something was actually watching him.
That something was Vecna, a real monster from the Upside Down. Vecna saw power in Henry and slowly took control of him. As Henry grew older, the monster’s influence became stronger. In the end, Henry was fully taken over and became Vecna.
Meanwhile, Will Byers was dealing with his own problems after being rescued from the Upside Down. When he returned to school, everyone stared at him. He looked pale and different, and kids began calling him “Zombie Boy.” Will tried to act normal, but he felt the Upside Down still inside him.
Two boys, two different struggles, both tied to the same dark world. But one of them wants it to end, one of them doesn't want it to end.

“Am I dead?” Percy then asked, idly wondering if this was all just a very strange dream.
“Most likely. Though if you’re here instead of whichever afterlife you’d usually go to, then you’re probably not dead-dead. Just… mostly dead.”
