When she first comes to the Road to Hell, Eurydice lets herself luxuriate in Orpheus's attentions. She lets him sing to her, lets him hold her hand, lets him show that somebody cares. But the thought that she will have to leave eventually hangs over her, preventing from her from letting herself fall into his arms. Orpheus bares his heart to her, trying to convince her to trust him. Trying to convince her to stay.
Eurydice doesn't trust easily. All she's ever known is solitude. It isn't until something bad happens to her that she realizes this boy truly wants nothing more then to hold her close, and keep her safe.

Shelby and Pyro's situations couldn’t be more different. She’s Scott’s favorite, the fledgeling who can do no wrong, and Pyro is… What? A wayward failure, in need of a firm guiding hand? A punching bag? An outlet?

Summary
Pearl and Scott take their mutual violence too far. They’re stuck in a cycle of hurting each other for revenge, and this story represents an escalation of that dynamic as it is shown in canon. Between the violent impulses the death games bring and both of their perceived needs for revenge, they keep spiraling, hurting each other worse and worse. Until it reaches a point where they can’t go on like this any longer.
Cleo tries to break the two of them out of the cycle, but Scott is manipulating them. He knows he’s doing it. Deep down, Cleo also knows he’s doing it to them. They don't know how bad it has gotten, and they’re ultimately powerless to stop the two of them. Eventually, she and Gem figure out the truth and confront Pearl. Hopefully she can heal and put those evil whims behind her.
There will eventually be regret and attempts at reconciliation, but whooooo knowwws how well it shall go.
Scott is a sea monster, Pearl is a wolf hybrid. I want to make it clear that I'm trying to portray them as both in the wrong here. Written mostly from Pearl’s perspective because as a lesbian woman idk what sex involving a penis is like. Sexual assault tw for pretty much the whole thing.
