Summary
Jinx's attack on the Council nearly spelled disaster. The aftermath following might mean the end of the Council altogether. Zaun's newly minted independence has raised no few concerns within Piltover, and people are beginning to make their displeasure with the Council known. With only a fraction of its members active, and with Vi no longer at her side, Caitlyn knows she has to find a way to keep things from boiling over. How much can she do on her own though? No longer an Enforcer, bereft of her partner and most allies, she finds herself facing an insurmountable task; placate the aggrieved masses and somehow hold Piltover together until the Council is back up and running.
Life is rarely so simple, and Caitlyn quickly finds there's more than some mild disapproval brewing beneath the surface.

As a slave in Tevinter, Fenris was never given the privilege of faith, taught that his tongue was too low to sing the prophet's verses.
But Fenris is a free man now, searching for new faith. One that has space in its philosophy for elves, and slaves, and criminals. One that has space, even, for him.
This is a story about Fenris' relationship with Andrastianism, and the way that Sebastian Vael attempts to prey on his trauma. It is about abuse and institutional corruption, prejudice and freedom.
It is, of course, about revolution.

Summary
Five years after my initial playthrough, I decided to play this stupid, beautiful, obsession-inducing game again and fell right back in love with FenHawke. This fic is a love letter to the game - mostly canon-compliant and as self-indulgently long, fluffy, angsty, and full of banter as I can make it. I'm also exploring magic, first as something that actually needs to be hidden and second as something that can be used in peace as much as it can be in war. Tags will be added as they become relevant, but this is already 33 (edit: 60 [edit: 159]) pages long in my drafts and I have to get it out into the world.
Hawke didn't want to be a mercenary, let alone a hero, and definitely not a Champion. Fenris, for his part, wanted to escape magic in all its forms. However, life rarely gives one what they want - and for the two of them, that might even be a good thing.

When neither of them died, Alistair thought they were blessed by the Maker. He planned to keep his dear Amell by his side as an adviser and was shocked when she disappeared right before he presented the Hero of Ferelden to his people. He returned to his duty and the efforts to find a suitable queen.
