Leonardo misses his baby brother so much and long was Michelangelo presumed dead. So imagine Leo's surprise when his clan found his baby brother alive and still the same as he was the night he was supposedly killed.
Having explained the events by Mikey, Leo kept the reluctant Mikey in the lair to keep him safe while Raphael and Donatello tried to find a way to get Mikey out and save him from Leo.
