“We must be,” Shane said slowly, expression scrunched up as he seemed to seriously ponder the question. “There might be some teams with a closeted player, or maybe two, but five? Statistically speaking, that’s highly improbable.”

“Ilya?” Shane said in that same dreamy, loopy voice as that morning. Ilya exhaled in a rush.
“Shane,” he said, and wanted to sag against the glass with relief. “What happened? Is something wrong?”
“Not! Any moooooooore.”
Ilya swallowed. Shane hadn’t gotten any quieter in the past seven hours.
“Why are you calling me? You need to be resting,” he said, and it sounded softer than he’d meant it to.
“I forgot to tell you something. Important.”
“You should not be telling me anything, you should be—”
“My cottage has really good water pressure,” Shane announced.
Ilya stared out the window while a small plane taxied past.
“What?”

Peter opens the trunk with a dead man’s keys and pauses - he can’t say he’s surprised, exactly, but this is… unexpected.
“Well,” Peter says. “When I suggested Malibu, I meant the location, not the trunk of one.”
Stiles glares back at him, but doesn’t even try to speak past the duct tape covering his mouth.

"Oh-... my- I am so sorry!" The man began setting his things on the counter and Stiles lunged for the opportunity to get back on track. He began scanning at an alarming speed as his mouth rambled, "I'm so- I was- How long were you standing there?!"
"Oh..." Stiles expected the usual 'oh, not long', the kind of polite thing to say, but instead, the man said, "quite a while."
Stiles froze and stared at him, panic rising, but the man still looked amused. "I-I- I'm sorry. I didn't-" a horrified laugh bubbled its way from his chest, "didn't see you there."
"Well, that much was obvious."

“Peter?” Scott asks, brows furrowed in confusion.
“Peter,” Stiles hisses. “The one who killed those people like six years ago! God, he’s hot.” Stiles cranes his neck to get a better view of Peter’s face. Peter glances over their way with a smirk, winking at Stiles, before turning back to Derek.
“He’s a serial killer!” Scott hisses.

There is an ironic balance to the situation that strikes Peter as especially humorous. Typically, Peter is not bitten by humans.
Typically, werewolves are the ones who do the biting.
But, here in the forest ringing the Hale House, there is certainly a feral human boy and he has certainly bitten Peter.
It’s partly Peter’s fault. Maybe thirty percent. He had stuck his hand within biting distance.

It’s not everything, and it’s got nothing from when he joined Lydia and the crew, but it’s damning for Mischief. Links a whole lot of people to him, too, and includes at least two security camera stills of his face, one single mention of his real name as a “person of interest” in a homicide report, and a copy of his California marriage license tying him to Peter Hale. It’s his confession, neatly organized into one folder, waiting to self-destruct and take them all out in the explosion.

After an argument with a friend, Stiles drops off a group road trip and has to hitchhike home to Beacon Hills. When a rugged man in a classic convertible and a cowboy hat pulls up, he’s rescued at last. Stiles charms his way into Peter’s car and- after a couple of nights of cheap motels and dumb driving games- right into Peter’s heart.
They decide to take a detour and spend their summer on the road, returning just in time for Stiles to resume his studies in the fall.

There's a shriek and a thud as Isaac loses his grip, falling on top of Erica and Boyd, sending them all to the ground in a heap.
"Yes," Peter says flatly. "Thank god for that."

At hearing the amount of money that Derek was actually offering to pay someone for one temporary job, Stiles choked on his noodles and began wheezing for breath as he went into a coughing fit. “Three? Three grand? Three thousand dollars??”
Three thousand dollars would be enough to pay for his rent for the next few months. Or—pay for the upcoming month and give Stiles a chance to buy some of the more advanced books on magical theory that Elder Potter was willing to let Stiles borrow but not keep. Being able to buy his own copies… Stiles’ fingers twitched in almost immediate booklust.
“I’ll do it,” Stiles announced.
