They’d fly together in the same Wing, taking down the demons that spilled from the Hellgates—the same demons that had killed Dean’s mother. And when Sam got old enough, he’d join them.
Dean believed Castiel when Castiel said he could hear Novak, his mother’s dragon, talking—even though that was impossible. And Castiel didn’t care that Winchester, Dean’s family dragon, had a bad wing.
It wasn't much of a plan, but it was their plan. It should have been so simple.
But falling hopelessly in love with his best friend had never been part of Castiel's plan.

Dean has lived long enough denying himself what deep down he’s always known he wanted. Has spent too many nights buried in warm bodies, trying to ignore how their overly sweet Omega scents made him feel, pushing away his nausea when he washed slick off his body afterwards.
Went through his ruts, alone and miserable, too afraid of the deep longing he felt for a body similar to his, for a musky scent surrounding him, was squeezing his knot to the wildest fantasies, only to bury them deep, deep inside a box in his mind when those days had passed.
But after several failed relationships with Omegas and Betas alike, this might be his last chance at finding out what being with an Alpha really is like before he has to accept he’s going to die bitter and alone.

At least he did until he threw them out the window for a pair of striking blue eyes and thick thighs. When Dean wises up and discovers Cas is a hunter, he all but knows his ticket is punched. Summary
Runs, when the idea was first proposed, were heavily protested, mostly by angry betas and omegas who thought the whole thing was disgraceful, disrespectful, humiliating and degrading. The first Run proved everyone wrong. It was emboldening, powerful, freeing. To pair omegas biologically with an alpha was not only smart, but diplomatic. To give them the opportunity to make the alpha work for what they wanted was a unique twist on the archaic gender roles and stereotypes, and over the next decade, Runs became a popular way for young and healthy people to find the mate best suited for them.
As soon as Dean presented as an omega, he knew it was what he was destined for.
Dean Winchester has never been caught.
