In a harebrained joke of an assassination attempt, a lowly sinner spikes a bottle of Mead meant for the overlord Zestial with the cheapest untraceable poison they can get their hands on; Velvette and Valentino’s love elixir.
Though this would not kill an overlord, it would leave him incapable of defending himself should the assassin attempt to finish the job, and so Zestial calls on his old friend Carmilla to help protect him.
