The little girl doesn’t understand why they’re being kept here, but she figures it has something to do with their quirks, and she has no memory of anything else. The people with clipboards are afraid of her, and they’re even more afraid of the boy with the strange mask. And though she’s never spoken to him, she knows him better than anyone else in this awful place, and he’s the only one who never tries to hurt her. But she’s worried about how much longer he’ll last. All the other children are gone.

Entire nations were split over the question, and the world has been war-torn ever since.
Now, in the midst of mounting tension between the two sides, three recruits begin their service aboard their respective battleships: two well-meaning Quirk- mechanics and one overzealous Quirk+ prodigy.
Time will tell what fate has in store for these young soldiers.

Soothsayer - n. / sooth' - saer / : a person who predicts the future by magical, intuitive, or more rational means
Shinsou may not be a soothsayer, but he knows that this is not what the future had in store for him. This isn't how his life was supposed to turn out. He isn't supposed to wind up trapped in this small grey room, with the walls closing in on him from all sides, slowly suffocating him with the knowledge that he'll never become a hero. Not like this.
And he definitely isn't supposed to end up with this annoying freckled visitor, who keeps telling him not to give up.

“I… may be able to help you,” Shinsou says.
Midoriya’s face perks up, like a puppy expecting a treat. “Really?”
Shinsou mentally flinches at the boy’s blind trust. “Yeah… come by my tent half an hour before the start of tonight’s show.”
The freckled boy grins. “Thank you so much! I’ll be there!” He turns, making his way back to his own tent.
In his wake, the fortune teller knits his brows together. He’s not sure what made him promise to help the strange boy. A slight twinge of empathy isn’t enough to justify the lengths he’s about to go through, the risks he’s about to take. He isn’t even sure his idea will work.

Summary
Hitoshi sighs, upset over the unfairness of it all. The least Eri deserves is to have an older brother who knows what he’s doing, who can comfort her through all the nightmares, convince her that they can’t hurt her anymore. But he can’t even fight his way through his own fears, let alone be a source of stability for a child.
He may not be the perfect older brother, but just once, he'll do his best to be Eri's hero.
