"Bored, right?" says Jason, and he smirks, and the kid goes absolutely beet goddamn red. "So like I said — me, too." He sticks a hand out, and the kid stares at it like it's got seventeen fingers and a tentacle attached. "I'm Jason."
"I know," blurts the kid, and then, impossibly, finds a deeper shade of red to blush. "I mean. We live next door. I've seen you around. I'm Tim."
He seems to recover a little — takes Jason's hand and shakes it, like a perfect little gentleman, and as he does, Jason says, "You're the Drake kid, right?"
Tim wrinkles his nose slightly, at that. "I'm not a kid," says the kid. "I'm only like two years younger than you."

It's a hallucination, like all the rest. Objectively, Tim understands that.
But he feels the words like an icepick in his chest all the same, and a part of him knows. This version of Dick might not be real, these words might not be real, but what he's saying is true anyway.
"Are you fucking listening to me?" says the man in the red helmet. "The big bad bat's not coming to save you." There's a crash, and when Tim turns toward it, his desk's been overturned. His laptop is lying on the floor in a tangle of cords. If any of this were actually happening, Tim might be afraid that it was broken.

Jason curls up more tightly, wedging his nose beneath his tail so he can’t see whatever ‘adopters’ have come to peer piteously at him. He considers the logistics of making another escape attempt if the door is opened—until, that is, a boy’s voice abruptly arrests his attention.
“No,” Damian Wayne says, kneeling before Jason’s kennel. “I want this one.”
Jason encounters a villain who turns people into animals.
Damian, meanwhile, adopts a dog.

Etiquette demands that he keep his eyes down when addressing his husband, but Dex thinks that etiquette can go hang itself, at least this once, while he and Matthew say their marriage vows to one another. When Matthew gently encircles his right hand around Dex’s left wrist, reciting the words in a low voice, Dex takes a chance and lifts his head, looking at his husband full in the face for the first time.
Dex is sold into marriage to a man that he has never met. Somehow, this is the least of his problems.

Dick doesn’t cry, but his breathing grows fast and choppy. Bruce can’t allow him to suffer through this grief longer than necessary, so he takes the sedative from his pocket and injects it into Dick’s thigh. Dick makes a startled noise and skitters away from him, eyes wide. Bruce tucks the syringe away and holds his hands up in surrender.
“I’m sorry that hurt,” he says again. “It’s just a sedative, I promise.”
“What the fuck,” Dick says, strangled.
“I’m taking you back to the Manor,” Bruce explains, staying low and unthreatening so he doesn’t frighten Dick more than necessary. “You’ll be safe there.”
“Are you crazy?!”
Sometimes Bruce thinks so.
In the wake of Jason Todd’s death, Bruce descends to madness.
