Let me lay it out for you so that this all makes sense, it all began as a mere hope. It was just a fantasy. A wish. A Hail Mary. I doubted it would ever work, I gave up all hope a long time ago. I never saw this coming. Not in this way, at least. If it wasn’t for Mei, the macchine, this would never happen. Three hours ago my life, everything I knew and believed, was completely demolished. It was our mistake for not killing him when we had the chance. But, that’s changed. This time I won't let the opportunity slip through my fingers. I will kill him, no matter what it takes.

Although there's a happy ending in the original series it was purely an accident that Katara and Sokka found Aang when they did.
How drastically would things chage if Katara was kidnapped on the day her mother died?
This is an alternate universe series of AtLA written in a fashion that was inspired by the surprisingly mature Kyoshi novels but with my own flare added.

However, Midoriya keeps fighting, because if there is one thing he's familiar with, it's defeat. As long as at least one person believes in him, even if that person is himself, Midoriya finds strength to move forward. But what happens when everyone around him turns away when he needs their support the most? What happens when even Midoriya loses hope in his own future? Does he keep moving, fighting, struggling for a future he can't see? Does he give up, quit, remain in the place that becomes his personal hell? Does anyone reach out to him and offer a hand to help?
