Summary
Takes place after the events of Transformers One (2024). When the fighting placed Cybertron in danger, both leaders agreed to a truce. Now, Autobot and Decepticon mean little more than political affiliations. Optimus Prime leads the new high council next to Megatron's empty seat. The ex-decepticon leader having vanished from the public eye some time ago.
Optimus doesn't understand why he’s been abandoned again.
Megatron thinks he’s sparing his love from even more pain.

Summary
Megatron hadn’t intended to offend the highest religious institution on Cybertron. Orain Pax hadn’t intended to acquire Megatron as a personal guard. Maybe Primus just hates them both.
Or maybe Megatron is the personal champion Orion needs to survive his new role as Prima’s disciple. Maybe Orion is the guiding light Megatron needs to keep his rage in check. Will their begrudging union grow into that of a Prime and Lord High Protector? Will they survive long enough to find out?

Summary
Megatron experiences a dream he cannot afford to have, vivid, destabilizing, and far too revealing. Regardless, he steps into a peacetime he is catastrophically unprepared for. The Conclave expects a warlord. The Autobots expect a threat. Optimus expects nothing at all, and somehow that is worse.
As field bleed, phantom sensation, and political pressure tighten around them both, Megatron finds himself unraveling in ways he cannot name. Luckily (or disastrously) Optimus Prime is right there with him, ready to keep him from (or rush him toward) falling apart.
