Summary
He should have known, really, that Shadow Milk Cookie would be as flighty as ever, even after years of living in the Vanilla Kingdom.
It did not matter if he curled alongside the healer in bed, seeking out his warmth in the dead of night and never bringing attention to it in the morning. It did not matter that often he would bring Pure Vanilla Cookie a bowl of jellies, calming that his dough would grow brittle if he did not eat soon. No, it did not matter if Shadow Milk cared for him at all. At the end of the day, it would always be hidden behind barbs of wire, unwilling to bend even to his gentle touch.
That does not change the reality that Shadow Milk Cookie, with all his bravado and bite, liked to run.
Run he did, as Pure Vanilla has not spoken to the beast in two months since their last argument.

If there is one thing Shadow Milk could be guaranteed to do, it would be meticulous. As exemplified by his carefully crafted wardrobe and by the schematics of each scheme he committed to, he always made sure every detail sat just right to get the point across. Though, he never thought he'd ever put this much care into a simple gift.
Here is the current issue; Shadow Milk, in being locked away for more than a millennium, is unaware of the modern celebrations of cookie-kind. As the Fount he never indulged in any celebrations except for the ceremonial kind- blessings, prayers, and other nonsense he was expected to partake in.
So when Pure Vanilla kindly requested he join him in the markets that day and he begrudgingly agreed, he was confused by the decorations being placed around the kingdom.

The Duchess Approves is terrible. He wants to bleach every brick of his body just to purify himself of this three hour experience. He wants to pluck out his eyeball and treat it to a ten-day spa as reparations. He demands a sequel from the Axolotl during their next therapy session.
The Axolotl tilts their head. “There's no sequel. Only one movie has ever been made.”
Bill glowers. “But what happens after?”
“Production went into debt after casting big name Grampton St. Rumpterfrabble,” the Axolotl answers sadly. “Rumor has it he charges fifty thousand per letter.”
“Wonderful,” Bill drawls. “Real useful information. So what am I supposed to do now, doc?”
The Axolotl’s eyes gleam suspiciously. “I suppose there’s always fanfiction.”
Or: Bill hates a certain fanfic author almost as much as he hates the man who killed him. Crazy, wouldn't it be, if the two were the same person.

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time to update.
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

Shadow Milk looks at this cookie, at this amalgamation of everything he’s ever loved and all that he despises, and he wants. He wants so desperately that it starts a fire in his soul, destructive and potent and far too large to be contained. Because it’s Eternal Sugar he sees in that soft smile, it’s Burning Spice he sees in that defiant glare, it’s Silent Salt he sees in that minute furrow of his brow, it’s Mystic Flour he sees in those unwavering morals, it’s himself reflected back at him as he looks into the face of a scholar. That damning mix of intelligence and naivety, the contrast of haunted eyes and innocent ideals, the idea that even after everything, purity remains embedded at this cookie’s very core- it strikes a chord somewhere deep into the corrupted confines of his heart, and looking at him is like gazing into the distorted shards of a mirror he shattered long ago. Pure Vanilla Cookie is everything Shadow Milk was supposed to be, everything his Light of Truth intends for him to embody. And oh, does Shadow Milk want.

And Pure Vanilla was not a liar, so he nodded reluctantly in confirmation, watching the Fallen Hero's twisted smirk stretch even further up azure dough. “Then that makes us one and the same! We wield the same magic, hold the same thirst for knowledge, we alone are able to manipulate the truth wholeheartedly. You and I are capable of possessing all-consuming power!” The Beast crowed, and a new sort of fear began to settle in Pure Vanilla’s gut.
“No,” he blurted out suddenly, before the action could even register in his brain. It was an instinctive response: a denial of something that simply couldn’t be true. He didn’t want ‘all-consuming power’, and Shadow Milk Cookie had fallen. He was corrupted. Pure Vanilla refused to let that happen to him.
“Yes! You are like me,” the other cookie hissed delightedly. “We share a soul, little cookie. And that makes you mine.”
OR: Pure Vanilla buys his friends some time, and Shadow Milk Cookie decides to have him put on a show.

If Franziska Von Karma was in the mood to be brutally honest (it’s been known to happen), she would admit that she doesn’t care that much about food. Certainly not enough to understand what makes cooking a meal either a craft or an art, regardless of what the Gault Millau or Michelin guide may try to tell her.
With that being said, there is also the principle of the matter to consider, and she has no intention of spending the evening of her 21st birthday eating room service.
