Arizona territories, 1882
Heaven assigns Aziraphale a new role: U.S. Marshal in the Arizona territory, serving humanity and Heaven's goals by enforcing laws. Lonely after not seeing Crowley for years, the principality throws himself into his new role - and finds himself butting heads with Billy Hawkins, the outlaw Crowley has been assigned to inspire. He's determined to bring Hawkins to justice, a concept he and the demon disagree upon.

Summary
Crowley was late.
Well, no, actually, Aziraphale was late, but Aziraphale was punctual to a fault and that was why the angel struggled not to fidget in Crowley’s body, as though doing so would wrinkle the demon’s corporal form.
Agnes Nutters couldn’t have been wrong, could she? The disguised angel had climbed out of the Holy Water unharmed hours ago, with Hell quaking at his back and Michael aghast at the sight. They’d chosen their faces, and seemed to have chosen well.
So why hadn't Crowley shown up?

Summary
Crowley has been discorporated and is being held hostage by Hell in exchange for Aziraphale's help. A terrible time is had by all, as Aziraphale tries to free Crowley and Crowley struggles to hold on long enough to be rescued- not a position he enjoys being in, even without the torture.

If he had any expectation of Aziraphale’s next words — and he did not, could not possibly conceive of any reaction, had never allowed himself to even imagine — it was certainly nothing close to this.
“Oh, Crowley,” Aziraphale said with a rush of breath. “Again?”

Crowley confesses often. Each time is his first, and each time the last. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say someone was messing with his memories.

In this one, they have to deal with a much more personal threat: a team of four angels have found them out, and they know the perfect punishment to fit their crime.

Summary
Aziraphale remembers who his heart was made for, long before The Beginning...but if that secret is revealed, it will only cause more pain. Hiding his longing and fear from Crowley throughout the ages leaves him desperate for a way to protect them both, once and for all. Saying yes to The Metatron's offer, however, causes some unintended consequences. Now Aziraphale has to figure out how to both protect Crowley as well as earn back the demon's trust.
