“He promised control over time - over death itself! Weren’t you the one who created the ritual?”
“I was not.” Darth Plagueis says coldly. “Be thankful the ritual killed Sidious - and not your precious Kenobi.”
Anakin pales.
Palpatine takes his new apprentice to the Sith homeworld before Order 66, seeking to bind them in a Force Dyad. Surprisingly, the ritual backfires, killing Palpatine and stripping Anakin of his Force abilities. Stranded on Exegol, he lies to the Jedi Council about his Fall, beginning an unlikely exchange of letters with Obi-Wan.

Summary
There was only one bed.
Obi-Wan’s mind fixated on this as they were practically pushed into the set of rooms by the guards, who bowed and told them their things would arrive shortly. The door closed behind them with a resounding thud, and then Anakin and Obi-Wan were alone together in a room clearly meant for romantic partners.
Anakin adopted a thoughtful, if somewhat sheepish, air. “Looking back over my words,” he said slowly, scrubbing a hand through curls that had grown long, “I can see where I messed up.”
“Anakin,” said Obi-Wan, who still had not looked away from the one giant bed. “They think we’re married.”

“It might be,” Anakin says instead, hoping he isn’t lying through his teeth. “I’ll tell you when I know.”
or when obi-wan is in love, he's a troll, both to the hot young man at the supermarket, and to the food blogger he's got a crush on. (spoiler: they're the same person). anakin can't decide whether to punch obi-wan in the face or teach him how to cook properly. they fall in love one comment and one unacceptable food item at a time :)

He's Obi-Wan's now, even as his inner voice screams at him that he can't own anyone, much less Anakin, who'd balk at being owned. He doesn't mean it like that, he means it like—Anakin is his to protect, to defend, to patch up. Anakin is his to love.
or obi-wan and anakin find sexual comfort in each other while fighting on the front lines. and romance, but they're definitely not thinking about that. it ends up saving them, their men, and the entire galaxy.

Sokka just had to be cursed. That was the only way to explain why the person who only four months ago he had a healthy dose of genuine fear for was now standing in his kitchen introducing himself to his dad as his boyfriend. He just had to remember no matter how many cupcakes Zuko got him or how close they got as reluctant group project partners, they were only pretending to be dating for Thanksgiving. That couldn't be too hard...right?

“No,” Zuko confirms. Tears are forming again with alarming speed; his foot throbs painfully with every passing second.

Summary
Zuko is just trying to survive Boiling Rock prison. He didn't make it out on time on the Day of Black Sun and frankly, he's lucky to be alive. His escape attempts have proven futile and he doesn't have any allies to speak of here. His best bet is keeping his head down and trying to survive.
Sokka is just here to break his dad out. It's his fault his dad was captured and he needs to fix this. His plan is working well enough so far; he's made it here, he's disguised as a guard, no one suspects him, now he just has to find his dad and get out.
Blue eyes meet gold. A flash of recognition. Shit just got a whole lot more complicated.

Summary
An alternate world where Iroh leads a coup against Ozai on the eclipse and wins the throne for Zuko. The southern water tribe hadn't sent men to fight in thirty years, instead protecting their home, laying traps, using guerilla tactics so the fire nation gave up fighting them.
Sokka and Katara found Aang, but being frozen in ice for a hundred years has ramifications and for almost four years the tribe focuses on healing the avatar.
Zuko is advised for continued peace to have an arranged marriage outside the fire nation. The best option is a the child of the chief of the southern tribe. Katara is in love with Aang and is heartbroken, but will do her duty for her people. Sokka finds a loophole that they can carefully and craftily exploit.
Aka they lie. They lie so hard and Sokka becomes the one betrothed to Fire Lord Zuko. He is sure there will be no consequences to the plan. Certainly not going to fall in love with the man he is lying to. At all. Nope indeedy, no love on the menu. Dang it.

Summary
Since his breakup with Mai, Zuko hasn't allowed himself to give much thought to romantic relationships, but when Sokka arrives in the Fire Nation having recently broken up with Suki, worries about love and romance begin to swirl around Zuko's thoughts. It doesn't help that his advisors are getting antsy about a potential marriage.
As Sokka's visit to the Fire Nation stretches on, he and Zuko begin to grow even closer than Zuko would have imagined.
