The high-resolution cameras surrounding them flashed at the rate of a mile a minute in response to the gesture. Tony was never so thankful for sunglasses as at conferences like these.
"Is time moving so slowly? I thought it would be Act Five by now, maybe even Act Seven if we added extra landmarks." Tony may technically be fifteen-ish years younger, but he feels the age of two lifetimes. It feels like so much has already happened and Thanos is still half a decade away.

"Those frivolous things distract," Eloise was angered. How could a woman, who had read such a treatise from one of their own, not understand the intent of her words?
Eloise leans forward, "Spending so much energy and time on painting and embroidering and other pretty chores just for the attention of a man. That they may deign to take up the burden that is marriage and children. What is a dowry if not a bribe from a father to a husband to rid himself of an unwanted daughter?"
As Eloise continued, her voice did not rise in volume, but it did in temperature. The lady's eyebrow rose higher and higher. She did not interrupt Eloise, but at the end of the eloquent speech, her eyes gained an understanding with a pitying expression. "Now I understand why you like this work," she tapped her hand on the stacked books, "You just like this author, hate women. You envision yourself as superior."

Featuring: journalists having breakdowns, Reddit threads that require moderator intervention, TikTok compilations with 1.2M views, brand partnerships from Skittles, a plague of engagement speculation, and two hockey players who cannot stop being chaotic disasters on main.
The fandom was writing fic about them. Turns out reality is messier, queerer, and somehow MORE unhinged.

“If I was just trying to get into your pants I wouldn’t be on bottom,” Ilya points out, and he does have a point there. Not that topping is unpleasant, or anything, but it’s not exactly something Shane tends to do without an occasion. “I also wouldn’t have to use app. I would say ‘Hollander, get your dick out,’ and you get your dick out.”
“Are you calling me easy?”
“Yes. We are both easy, it is the best thing about our relationship.”

“Wha–” Ilya’s reply was less of a word and more of a stupid, confused noise like he’d been punched. That probably would’ve caught him less off guard than what Shane actually said.
“Y’know, text about the hockey gossip? You call, I answer? Friends.”
Something terrifyingly bright exploded into Ilya’s chest. Something dangerous, that felt like maybe it could keep him warm through the summer in Russia, through the chill that permeated his childhood home no matter how warm it was outside.
“And also we like to suck each other’s dicks,” he quipped, trying to deflect.
“Fuck off, Rozanov.”
