It all starts with a bet.
Tony Stark is the notorious campus playboy. Stephen Strange is the student who has to be dragged out of his dorm room. They have two things in common: their group of friends, and their dislike of each other. When one of their friends needs dating advice, Stephen and Tony get into an argument about which method of dating is best.
When Tony proposes they take each other out to decide who is better at dating, Stephen wants nothing more than to take him down a peg or two. It's all a simple matter of showing Tony that he's not all that.
Until he starts realizing Tony is not at all like what he thought he would be, and that's when things get complicated.

Summary
In 2018, on Earth-199999, Thanos gathered all the Infinity Stones and snapped his fingers. Half of the Universe was promptly dusted, and a third was further killed as a direct consequence of the dusting. Weeks later, Thanos used the Infinity Stones once more and destroyed them - thus destroying the Universe itself.
Stephen Strange saw this, but there was no way to save them or the Universe, no time.
And then the Infinity Stones themselves gave him time. Gave him a second chance to save another Universe, their sister Earth: Earth-200207.
A quest that takes place across space and time, within souls and minds, with power and reality. A bet that could save trillions of people or could condemn them to a future worse than he one of Earth-199999. A game of chess against the butterfly effect, with one single starting player:

“And I could just walk away, with all of this stuff that was yours and is now mine-” Wong trailed off, watching the door that had magically closed before he could step out with a raised eyebrow.
He turned back to Stephen, who was suddenly right next to him, not any more impressed.
“Fine, you win, just give me back my stuff,” complained Stephen, re-appropriating the items from Wong’s arms.
The sorcerer did not fight him on it, though he still looked very judging.
Stephen put everything back where it had been before, feeling much more settled and satisfied once all of his things were right there, in his dom- room.
When he turned back to Wong, the judgement was still there.
“Are you planning on giving me back the band you stole from me or not?” he asked, pointedly looking at the clutched object in Stephen’s hand.
Stephen looked at it, and then back at Wong.
“I have a problem,” he admitted.
“No shit.”
