They may think he's brash or reckless or idiotic, but that doesn't matter. The little girl was safe and that's the only thing he cared about. He pushed away his own desperation, his own fear.

When Izuku was 9 his mother died, and he discovered he had a quirk. His father's quirk, All for One. When Izuku was 10, he and his father met Yagi Toshinori, and he had a friend. When Izuku was 14 he discovered Yagi-san was All Might, and Izuku inherited his quirk. One for All. When Izuku is 15 the League of Villains step onto the scene. When Izuku is 15 he falls in love.
When Izuku is 16, everything goes horribly, horribly wrong.

You inherited this ‘fuck you’ powerful ass quirk?" Finally, he turned toward Toshinori. "And you saw Deku, knew he had a godlike quirk, and said, ‘Hey you know what’s better than one godlike quirk? Two godlike quirks!' And you gave it to Deku."

Izuku steps towards the other teen, holding his hand out to shake, “I’m Midoriya Izuku by the way. We haven’t officially met yet, right? I don’t remember seeing you at the Entrance Exam?”
The blue-haired boy pauses, studies his hand uncertainly before shrugging. “Shirakumo Oboro,” he introduces in return, hand phasing right through Izuku’s when he goes to return the handshake. Shirakumo doesn’t seem surprised by it, but Izuku whips his hand back when the intense chill climbs up his arm.

Izuku tries to pretend eveything is okay even though his homelife is crumbling around him, there's an insanely powerful Quirk that's not entirely his coursing through his veins, he suddenly knows his childhood hero, All Might, and to top it all off, he seems to have befriend a pastel blue-haired ghost that has way too much insider knowledge on Izuku's new homeroom teacher, and English teacher. He's really just trying to survive Yuuei...

None of the national, standardized tests were supposed to happen this month and even being two minutes late to one of those wouldn’t elicit this sort of reaction. They were discussing their career interest forms today, but that was it. Nothing time-critical was supposed to be happening.
“Midoriya, you were reported missing a week ago. No one has seen you for eight days. The police have been combing the city for you.”
"I’m sorry. What?”
Midoriya Izuku went missing for a week and turned up in a back alleyway with skills he's never even heard of and no memory of how he came by them. He resigns himself to never learning the truth of what happened to him, but he shouldn't waste this chance should he? He could become a hero with reflexes like these.

Izuku dragged himself to his desk, tore it apart until he found the paint set his mother had bought him to shut him up on his last birthday. He found an old canvas in the corner and wiped the dust off. He turned the light on, and he put brush to canvas, and he let that pain flow into the colors. Izuku let the ache in his bones, the searing red coating his throat all dribble across the canvas like the blood that he continued to cough up, splattering his desk.
Minutes or hours later, it was dark outside his window and the glow of his desk lamp was the only light in the whole apartment. He stood up, covered in red and green, black and white. He’d sobbed the pain and emotion from his body but not through tears. His fingers were coated in paint and he felt…better.

OR: Izuku finally gives up on being a hero, and accepts that he's never felt as free as when he paints. So he decides to become an artist and put his past pain to canvas for the word to see.

He vanishes.
