His fingers won't cooperate, sitting listlessly in his lap. For a second, Jason has to pay attention to the rise and fall of his chest, just to make sure it's still working the way it's supposed to.

Summary
Reconciliation is a process that takes time. Sometimes not quite as much time as you'd think.
There's an emotional throughline of developing character dynamics over the course of the series, but I've written the vast majority of the stories to be self-contained plot-wise. There's no required reading order if you want to jump around to ones that catch your interest, though I do recommend starting with the first one for background.
