Summary
Felix has been able to see magic and monsters for as long as he can remember, but he's never actually engaged with any of them before. They've always ignored him, and he's always ignored them in turn, and that's suited him just fine.
Unfortunately, this perfectly sensible habit ends when, one day, he sees what looks like a person in trouble and makes an impulse decision to intervene. One thing leads to another, and the next thing he knows, his life is owed protection by an incredibly begrudging goddess of honour.
As the two struggle to engage with and/or avoid this new dynamic, they're forced to contend with not only the machinations of monsters and other gods, but something far more daunting: the growing sense that there may be more between them than a life debt.

Squirrelpaw doesn't know what to do. Cats are dying, the forest is being torn apart around her, and her sister has just told her that, according to a prophecy from their warrior ancestors, she and her best friend will lead ThunderClan to destruction. In short: everything seems to be going wrong all at once.
And then, in her dreams, she receives a message from StarClan directly. A warning about one last, impossible, twist of fate.
In another time, Firepaw the apprentice has just become Fireheart, warrior of ThunderClan, and is ready to defend his adopted clan from any threat - be it rogues, enemy warriors, or even their own scheming deputy. On the night of his vigil, he isn't sure what to expect, but it definitely isn't the mysterious cat who emerges from the forest.
The cat who claims to be his daughter.
(Or: Squirrelpaw, through worldly machinations unknown, is sent back in time to when her father was a young warrior, her mother was still an apprentice, and the dreaded Tigerclaw still stalked the forest.

Summary
Burning Thistles is a Warrior Cats AU based on two main ideas: 1) Firestar (and his siblings) is Spottedleaf's kit, and 2) Spottedpaw and Thistleclaw had kits before Spottedleaf got away from him.
Firekit grows up in ThunderClan under the scrutiny of his clanmates because of the circumstances of his birth, but at least he has his siblings, and his best friends, Runningpaw and Darkkit, by his sides. He loves his mother, Spottedleaf, and his aunt, Willowpelt, dearly, but a part of him wishes he could always meet the father everyone hates him for, Thistleclaw. When he gets his wish, he could never imagine the consequences that would come following the rewritten and altered events of The Prophecies Begin.
