Harry glares. He opens his mouth, and feels the beginning the snake’s language pass his lips, and this isn’t what he wants, what’s the point of insulting Malfoy if he can’t understand him –
Malfoy’s eyes widen. He slaps his hand over Harry’s mouth, “Potter, what the hell–”

Summary
Sometimes, Bilbo finds, not everything goes according to plan.
First an injury and the coming winter delay his leaving Erebor, then word from the Shire leaves him mourning his beloved Bag End. And because getting added to Thorin's council isn't trouble enough, Kili is in love with an elf, Fili may or may not have his eyes on a certain little scribe, everyone seems to think he is a lady hobbit, and Thorin needs to find someone to marry.
Okay. So the last part might not be trouble, exactly, except for the part where it makes Bilbo's rather hopeless attachment even more painful. Or it wouldn't if he hadn't possibly accidentally promised to provide Thorin with an heir... and Dáin just might still be scheming something.
Fortunately, if there's one thing hobbits are good at, it's growing things. And Thorin did promise him a garden.

One hundred years ago a deadly virus hit Erebor and twisted many dwarves, elves and men into gollums: greedy, light-hating raw-foodest creatures. Many dwarves escaped Erebor before the virus affected them and traveled to other mountains all over Middle-earth, leaving their home behind forever.
Today, Thorin (King in Exile, Sustainable Developer) finds himself tongue-tied by a handsome Hobbit, and Legolas (Prince of Mirkwood, Professor of Botany) is flummoxed by a red-headed Dwarf that answers his Heart Song. This is their love story.
(A completely awkward love story that includes a gathering of dwarves, two elves, and a hobbit who go to reclaim Erebor for the King in Exile.)

Summary
This is a set of thirteen drabbles (plus the prologue) that revolve around Bilbo garden and the meanings of the flowers that come from it. Thirteen roses bloom in Bilbo's garden, and each one represents his feelings towards a different company member every time. Over time, Bilbo fills a vase with a bouquet of the beautiful flowers he gives to his friends.
Bagginshield undertones in most chapters.

The novelty of being dead fades quickly, and watching over his companions soon fills him with grief and guilt. Oddly, a faint flicker of hope arises in the form of his youngest kinsman, a Dwarf of Durin's line with bright red hair.
(Follows the story of the War of the Ring).
