Izuku tries to move on his life without his mother, but is struggling to settle into routine when the shadow of Hisashi lingers over him; and his new legal guardians, Shouta and Hizashi, can only do so much when every aspect of life is overwhelming to try and face.
Time isn’t on his side as all too soon, Hisashi resurfaces and is out for blood once more. Izuku trains himself to the brink to ensure he isn’t caught defenseless again. When the time comes to face Hisashi again, Izuku is determined to be ready to handle the man himself.

It was different when he first woke. It was like coming back from anesthesia, but with a dark gap in the middle where usually there is nothing, no bridge between before and after. It is not like blinking, not like sleeping, and not exactly like waking.
Before there had been so much noise; fighting and screaming and bones bursting from skin with a sick squelch, explosions popping in his eardrums. The stench of blood thickened the air, made it hard to breathe in. He remembers running, leaping, heart jackhammering in his chest.
Then there was nothing. Not quiet, not even silence, just pure absence in a way Izuku had never thought possible. There was no feeling of time passing, or feeling of anything, really. Izuku was, and then, for that period of time he still cannot quantify, he was not.

“It is alright, Izuku,” the man towering above him said calmly, kneeling down and placing a hand on the boy’s shoulder. “You need not fear. I’m sure your mother will be fine. I could never find it in myself to truly kill her. However, I did what I had to.”
Izuku slowly turned his head, looking up at the man. “Why’d you hurt her, Daddy?”
His father tilted his head, smiling. “She was in our way. I have big plans for you, and she wanted to stop them. Now, shall we be on our way?” He stood, lifting Izuku up and placing him on his hip. “There is much to do.”All for One kidnaps Izuku when he is still a toddler, helbent on creating the perfect noumu for his cause.

Everything hurt; there was so much pain. His head—it didn’t just ache; it pounded, pulsing and beating with monstrous frequency, filling his head with this unbearable pressure. Every movement, every slight tilt of his head, just made the sensation worse, threatening to explode.
He didn’t know why it hurt. Actually, he wasn’t sure what even happened.
During a training simulation, Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki find themselves trapped in a collapsing building—but the exercise takes a dangerous turn. When disaster strikes, Midoriya is left severely injured, and now it’s up to Bakugo and Todoroki to navigate the wreckage and get their classmate to safety—before time runs out.
(This is inspired by OVA #4 “Make It! Do-or-Die Survival Training”. It’s basically a “what if” if Midoriya ended up badly injured.)

He beat her to it. “So. What’d you get off with?”
“What?”
“For nearly destroying the kingdom.” He hadn’t meant to be mean, but standing in the palace with her brought back memories, so he was. “I mean, I got a life sentence with no trial, but you’re still walking free. What’d you get?”
