Nicky is leaning against the frame of the door, one hip cocked, an arm crooked over his head. He is the picture of nonchalance, as if they are not about to risk their fucking lives in a car going over 300 kilometres an hour. He’s wearing shorts and a T-shirt that seems a size too small. And he looks fucking – edible.
Joe’s brain short-circuits. There is no other explanation for the words coming out of his mouth.
