A day goes by and it’s fine, but when a few days pass, there’s this empty feeling, this restlessness that’s not unlike what she’s come to call her insomnia. But instead of needing to move to get it out, she itches to talk, or be talked at — to just spend time in Poppy’s presence.
She wonders if Poppy feels the same.
