Contestant Chuuya and Guard Dazai falling in love while playing a game that slaughtered hundreds of people was not ethical. Then again, Chuuya just wanted to find his sister, beat the game with Dazai, and use his award money on gasoline to burn this damn place to the ground.

A strange whirring noise disrupts the small gathering, it doesn’t take long before a strange portal appears right behind Midoriya, fortunately Todoroki shoves him out of the way just as something flies out the portal and crashes into the cabinets at the other end of the room next to Uraraka.
Both boys take a battle-ready stance when Uraraka speaks up.
“Uhh, guys, we should call Aizawa, the guy is bleeding from his head.” She points to the unconscious man laying on the ground, curled on the ground. The man has a strained look as if in terrible pain, the red hair stuck to his skin like glue and blood streaming down his face with strange red markings.

As she progresses, she notices glitches among the game, affecting the environment at first. But slowly, it spreads and starts to affect her scripted choices and the in-game love interests. Especially one character in particular who was known back in her world as the most difficult love interest to pursue, his romantic and platonic routes impossible to achieve, refusing any advances a player makes on him.
She wonders why.
