Summary
Vampire hunter Bucky Barnes has worked ‘willingly’ for the Hostile Yield Deterrence and Response Academy (H.Y.D.R.A for short) for what feels like seventy years. He’s never turned down a job, and is known in the community as the ‘Winter Soldier’ for his brutal efficiency at wiping out Vampire broods in the colder months when all other agents have given up. He doesn’t have a family, or friends - has time for neither, wouldn’t want to put them at risk regardless.
Sam Wilson was a young man when an accident in the military led to his turning. He came to terms with it rapidly, and was one of the lucky few able to tame his bloodlust before it could get the better of him. Now, with his young charge Joaquin, a freshly turned young vampire who turned to him for guidance, he works closely with the Sanctioned Hunters: Intelligence, Elimination, Logistics Division to prevent the growth of Feral broods from damaging vampire-human relations permanently.
Bucky thinks Sam is a stuck up, arrogant ass who needs to be eliminated before he becomes feral. Sam thinks Bucky is the world's most unbelievable douche.
Inevitably, they fall in love.

Something about that stops him short. “Wait, his family business was a diner?”
“Yeah,” Robin says. “My mom hated it. I think she still blames the diner for ruining all our lives.”
Steve furrows his brow, thinking. Something is starting to sound eerily familiar, but he can’t quite put his finger on it.
“Here?” he asks, straining his mind in a bid to figure out why this information doesn’t feel new.
“You might’ve known it, it was pretty popular,” she says, and that’s when his blood runs cold.
Steve learns that Robin's dad is dead. Then he finds out just who her father was. Then, worst of all, he finds out she doesn't know the truth of his death.
Or: Robin is Benny Hammond's daughter.

Summary
A month ago Steve had decided at the last second that he just couldn’t leave his baby brother out of his sight. Eddie understood, he got it. So he’d agreed to swap out. He went with Robin and Nancy to the Creel house. He’d thrown molotov’s harder than anything he’d thrown before, but it hadn’t mattered. Vecna had crashed through the attic window and disappeared when they went down to check.
The trudge back to the trailer had been tense and twitchy, only broken when they’d heard Dustin screaming through the treeline.
That sound was the most terrifying thing he’d ever heard because he knew that Steve would never have let Dustin get hurt.
So if Dustin was hurt, it could only mean that something had happened to Steve.
A month later something creeps up on Eddie while he's sleeping.

Summary
1987 went to shit. Vecna brought on what may well be the apocalypse, and Steve fought it to the end. Literally.
Death was supposed to be a one-way street. But knowing a girl with super powers had a tendency to change the game. So when Steve opens his eyes to a beer-soaked bathroom on Halloween in 1984, Nancy calling him 'bullshit' all over again, the universe might forgive Steve for thinking he was either a) in Hell or b) going cracked. But Steve didn't have time to freakout. Not when El finds him and asks that he help her change the events of the future. Not when he's the only other person she managed to drag with her for chance number two.
OR: A time travel fix-it, where 1987 Steve is dropped back into his 1984 self. And now he has to deal with that plus the impending apocalypse on the horizon. But he'll be fine, right? Because, as El informs whoever asks, Steve's 'The Babysitter'. So he gets to work. He can cry later, when he's done.

Summary
In 1998, 72.5 million passengers passed through Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
One of them was Steve Harrington. In fact, a lot of them were Steve Harrington. Every Friday, just like clockwork, he strides off flight 303 from JFK to ORD, in his suit and tie, phone plastered to his ear.
Somewhere else in Chicago, Eddie Munson's life is pretty good. He lives with his best friend. He works nights at a bar he loves. No, it's not what he'd imagined his life was gonna be like at thirty-two, because Steve isn't here, and there was a time he couldn't ever imagine living his life without him.
But he has, and it's fine, everything's fine. Honest.
He's accepted it. Fortunately, the universe, and Gareth, have not.
After a chance sighting in that busy airport, Eddie has the chance to try and reconnect with Steve after nearly a decade apart.
