That very rare fic which is a ModernAU but the characters are still in character and the story is still interesting. I have a weakness for the use of social media in fics and the use of them here makes this fic instantly relatable. Not to mention Luffy’s charisma and enthusiasm just leaps off the screen, even if he’s a lot more multi-talented than in canon (canon!Luffy acting? When his idea of ‘acting innocent’ is looking away and whistling? LOL) Poor Zoro gets a little overlooked (I swear, BARTOLOMEO gets more screen time, for all that I adore our little fanboy) but Nami is very present and absolutely shining in her role as manager.

Sengoku had paused mid-word, as if expecting Doflamingo to say something — a greeting, or perhaps even more delusionally, an apology for being late — but of course, the pink fucker never did.
He walked — though that was a generous use of that verb in Crocodile’s opinion — towards the table, wasting no time before stepping onto it, settling himself cross-legged right in the middle.
Always needing to be the centre of attention, Crocodile thought with a sneer.
"We can sit on top of the table?!" Luffy yelled, excited, before wriggling out of Crocodile's grasp and clambering onto the table.
Somehow, that was the last straw; everyone's attention was now firmly on Luffy, with no one bothering to pretend like he didn't exist.
Luffy, for his part, appeared entirely unbothered — of course — as he settled himself by Doflamingo's side, pulling his feathery coat over his own shoulders.

She shot a quick sideways glance at Sakura before her eyes came back to his and smiled in a way that scrunched her nose cutely. "You sign it, and I take care of your... problem for you." She answered him with a tasteful eyebrow waggle. Kakashi had no idea how she managed to make eyebrow waggle tasteful, seduction specialist sure were something else.
Or: Kakashi is despairing about Sakura's habit to wear civilian perfume, and well on his way to becoming canon Kakashi. Except a chunin kunoichi sees it and decides it's an excellent Opportunity to get Kakashi to owe her one

Fuck, Harry can't believe he Imprinted on Voldemort, his body apparently so desperate for a guide in navigating these strange Alphan waters that it latched onto the first one it could find, nevermind that this Alpha wants to kill him.

Absolutely lovely. Voldemort is incredibly mild-tempered with Harry, indulgent and free with affection and frequently proud or amused when one might expect him to be incensed (like when Harry pins him or roars at his Death Eaters…). He clearly doesn’t share Harry’s morality, but equally clearly changed his methods to make Harry happy, often proactively. And Harry is still Harry under the instincts, protective, righteous, impulsive, reckless, prone to self-sacrifice, deeply conflicted about his attachment to the boogeyman of WGB. There’s plenty going on without any unnecessary drama, and also all the scenting and cuddling you would want out of an omegaverse fic without the problematic sexual binary.

Mostly Voldemort’s uncontrollable pining, but also the character development, the very understandable reactions on all sides, the complete lack of bashing (and Dudley actually being decent!), the action scenes (which actually serve a purpose instead of just being there), Pip the adorable hyperactive snidget. Absolutely loved it.

Summary
It seems laughable now to think that he could ever have been destined for more than this. From a boy so lucky to be alive they gave him a lofty title to match, to the supposed savior of humanity, to tawdry spoils of the very war he lost. It is a new kind of bravery Harry must hold onto these days, if he is to get through this with any of his sanity or self-respect left intact.
He won't just give up on living though, on hope. Somebody has to be here, after all, to take care of the girl, so if not for himself, then he'll at least do it for her. He can suffer any indignity thrown his way if it means that just one child born into this endless, bitter cycle of longing and loathing will grow up loved.
Sometimes, a ray of sunshine will break through the storm clouds even when it's always raining.

Despite this being his first stream, and despite the fact that there has been absolutely no information regarding when he would begin streaming at all, just the tiny “Coming soon!” graphic next to his name on the website, there’s immediately a group of fans excitedly and immediately tuning in once Genos' livestream finally comes online. They’d been waiting, actually, ever since his name was added to the HA’s list of heroes taking part of their new Exciting Daily Lives of heroes-livestream project, and word is spreading fast via the HA’s subforums, people pinging each other to tune in immediately. The viewer count steadily rises by the minute.
