“I think fate wants you dead,” Hong Jisoo replied without missing a beat as he dabbed alcohol on the large, gaping wound on the other man’s shoulder. The blond barely winced at the contact, unlike most patients would when in the same situation, but Jisoo had long since realized that Jeonghan was definitely unlike anybody he’d ever met before.
He just wasn’t sure whether that was a good or bad thing just yet, but he’s getting there.

"This can't be right," Beomgyu finally managed to splutter out, "The Huening Kai I know is shorter than me. Brown-haired and skinny. Perpetually wears a hoodie and not—" his eyes trailed across the other's broad shoulders and the leather jacket that was in place and felt like slamming the door shut again. He gestured vaguely with one hand to hide his embarrassment, "Not all this. There are just too many differences."
"Well," the stranger who called himself Huening Kai began with a playful smile, "At least my feelings for you are still the same."
Or, Choi Beomgyu's life is turned upside-down by the arrival of a tall, blonde, and gorgeous stranger who insists he's actually Huening Kai — his childhood friend and maybe first love. Looks like he'll have to live with that fact though. Literally.

“Tell me more about this... this Golden Hour, as you called it,” Ratio spoke, his voice low and quiet, and still troubled by something.
“Nothing much to say, Doctor,” Aventurine drawled as they walked down roads with barely functioning unicyclers rushing towards them, but never quite colliding, always swerving before anything bad could happen. Like a stroke of sheer, dumb luck, given what little regard Aventurine placed for the pedestrian crossings and sidewalks available to them. His steps were sure, clacking noisily on the concrete in contrast to Ratio’s steady strides.
He gestured lazily at the surroundings and shrugged, “It’s a dream where anything can happen. Anything I want comes true.”
“Anything?”
“Anything,” Aventurine confirmed with a smirk, “But not everything, my friend.”
(A gambler dreams. A doctor is waiting for him to wake up.)

Kang Taehyun's great with kids, which meant it was no surprise that the cutest 5-year-old ever, Choi Dabin, attached herself to him immediately. It helped that they both bonded over their favourite actor — South Korea's First Love, Choi Soobin. Except there are a few questions that needed answering. Mainly, whose child was she and why was she always on set? Second, why was Choi Soobin suddenly showering him with gifts and way too much attention?

Kamal's voice was grating to hear. Logically, Kai knew volume didn't quite exist in his head, but he could practically feel Kamal come closer and closer to the surface, a wicked grin on his features — a face that looked just like Kai's own, but with silvery-blonde hair instead, and a gaze that often held venom in them. His voice was a little too loud when he asked again, trying to scan the room with what limited view he could see from where Kai was pointedly staring down at his shoes. He didn't want Kamal anywhere near Beomgyu, if he could help it.
But that was the thing, wasn't it?
He couldn't help it. It would mean staying away himself and Kai just couldn't seem to do that.
(And he's about to find out why.)

“I think we scarred him,” the wizard said with a chuckle of his own, “Your rose bush started singing, the coffee he was drinking exploded into fireworks in front of his face, and—”
“—you were coming from the coffee shop carrying a gargoyle that only spoke in prose and love poems,” Kai was practically glowing as the melody of his laughter travelled across every inch of the kitchen, leaving Taehyun in a momentary trance. It was probably telling that he felt the exact same when faced with either Yeonjun or Kai — amazement, adoration, all the good things. Maybe he could spare a little more effort baking the cake. Maybe.

It’s calming, in a sense. The road looks like it could go on forever with no end in sight. Literally. How long has he been driving? For some reason, his gas level stopped going down about two hours ago; with the tank perpetually half full and the sun nearly setting, he’s still driving.
